Not sure if metal is your thing, but I've been listening to alot of "Killswitch Engage" lately. Album is called the End of Heartache.. Give it a listen, see what you think..

A good way to check out bands is myspace. I kn ow lots of people dont like it but whenever I hear about a new band, I look them up there and usually I can listen to 2-4 songs, get a feel for them and decide if I wanna buy an album or not.

Just search for band names here

Dont know if these will be to your taste, nothing at all like PJ/Soundgarden etc. Still really cool bands though. Think their are a couple bands in the US with the names the Fratellis and Yeti but these are all from UK.

    The Fratellis - http://www.myspace.com/littlebabyfratelli

    Larrikin Love - http://www.myspace.com/larrikinlove

    Dirty Pretty Things - http://www.dirtyprettythingsband.com/

    Yeti - http://www.myspace.com/yetiintelligence
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

I saw Ladyhawk at a Destroyer show last night and they were pretty damn good for a rock type band. Their first album should be coming out sometime this year, from talking to a booking rep the other night

I just thought the easiest way to hear some songs is not looking for their band sites but using the search function of myspace. But hey, you already know that ;)
