i'm so f'n happy bruce did this to open the show / tour. i could care less if it divides the fans. the words must be spoken.

Good to hear someone say it out loud and proud. Some previously very outspoken artists have been really quiet. Sad.

I am so damn proud of Bruce.  And not surprised.  He is the epitome of a great artist and a truly great American.

Although it is quite true their #1 job is making music, I'm still hoping for more of that outspokenness.  There's never been a time in the last 50 years where it is needed more.

Bruce made a great speech leading into My City of Ruins in Manchester the other night. Now someone else covered it last night. Rushed to see the Youtube video. The singer was talking about a yellow plastic hard hat some kid gave him. Oh well.

The silence adds to my fear and anxiety quite a bit, I have to say. It makes me feel less free if we’re only hearing subtle whispers from those we used to rely on to lead the battle cry. Still, I guess I cherish those whispers just as much as any roar :)

I’ll give artist more credit if they speak out at shows here in America not subtle mention but straight up pushback!

I’m sure he’s gonna get severely hassled come back to the country when the tour is over.

For sure. People in Manchester are like, we didn't vote for him. 😄

Also, we have news and Internet here and are well aware of what is going on in your country. 🤣

So grateful for this band/music/community that has been a constant grounding and healing resource for basically my whole life since I was just a teenager. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt so seen and heard before as I do tonight after watching a livestream of tonight’s show. I know we’re not all having the same experience in this regime, but it’s been very isolating for me. So much so that I began posting on Internet forums lolol what am I even doing with my life?!! Anyway, whew! What a time, what a world. Thanks to EV for voicing strength, solidarity, and inspiration. Back to doing the work…much to be done, much to be.

Punk move to release the new EP. Cool.

    A Neil Young-esque move

I was able to grab tickets for the Tracks 2 listening party next Thursday hosted by the Bruce Springsteen Archives at Monmouth University before they sold out.  Can’t beat free tickets! 👍🏻

    Well this has some riches.

Anyone with favourite "lost album" yet? For me it's the Streets of Philadelphia sessions. It is up there in his best work.

NEIL YOUNG SHOULD HAVE WON THE OSCAR

Love the Streets of Philadelphia sound. Digging the new unearthed songs!

Anyone buy Tracks 2, the 5400 lost albums set?  I am wondering if it is worth it, or to just get the 2 disc comp?

I did, but I collect vinyl, so it would of left a gaping hole in my Springsteen discography.  I really do like a lot of it.  7 unreleased albums is pretty insane, but it's so long, how often will I spin all the vinyl?

That being said I'll probably play some of my favourites from the set, which wouldn't be the same in a compilation.  Like the poster above I really liked the Streets of Philadelphia Sessions.

A handful of years ago I decided to collect as much Grateful Dead live vinyl as I could.  I don't think it's possible for anyone to actually have it all.  It's insane.
