atfter tearing apart my apartment for a week,
I finally found my Tracks boxset.

Listened this morning to disc 2
( cuz I wanted a refresh on the original BITUSA )

    Alot of these songs:

a ) couldve easily been on BITUSA

    and

2 ) I love some of these - Roulette ( reminds of the shore )
Where the bands are , Loose ends .

  Love that version of BITUSA. Dollhouse and Take 'Em As They Come are also two of my favorites from disc 2. Doesn't Bryan Adams's "Summer of '69" remind you of "Take 'Em As They Come"?

You must mean the Human Touch/Lucky Town era with "the other band." :) Dark days, indeed. Fortunately he came back around in a big way. Tunnel of Love was an e-street album, though... and a pretty good one, although I haven't listened to it in ages. I'm a bigger fan of the grittier rock songs in his catalog and didn't really dig the twanginess that came with TOL.

lol @ " the other band ". Wasn't Randy Jackson
from American Idol on that/those albums?

Agree that people expected more rock and roll for a follow up to BITUSA,
but I still enjoy the introspective TOL album nonetheless.
Thats why he's The Boss and can change his whole " thing " in 1 swift album,...

MLB has been using it for all the teams and all their postseason commercials. land of hope and dreams is sucha great great song. Also i was just reading the liner notes for the wrecking ball and noticed Matt Chamberlin drums on a few tracks, cool.

Tunnel of Love being an E Street album is debatable.
i have to agree. just like wrecking ball being a bruce and estreet band album is also debatable.

Max is awesome. One of my favorite drummers. So much endurance in him. I couldn't believe he said (in 2002), he had 7 hand operations. Nuts!

I never saw him on Late Night but the clips I've seen on YouTube are great. If you didn't see him with Conan, you'd think he was this serious guy. Him and Conan's repertoire was always funny. This one is funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vf6sEroZJo

Is this the only time Bruce was on Conan? If so, wow!

Bruce and the band should go back on Conan and while they're there, have Max and Conan do a skit together.

I remember watching this when it was broadcast.
The funniest thing is Jimmy Fallon
( who would later get this show ) playing the spoons.
