May needs to hurry up and get here. He better bring these shows to the US. Those Aussie sets are looking ridiculous.

  • Bruce is not an artist I've been able to get into. I want to try, but it just doesn't click. Same with The Grateful Dead. I can listen to other's cover these artists, just not the artist themselves. Love the enthusiasm for him though.

It took me seeing Bruce live to really start listening to albums. His live show gave me a whole appreciation for Bruse's music, but I was always a casual fan of the hits before.

I have seen him twice, my dad was the one who bought my ticket to my first show. I saw him with friends that were huge fans as well. I will be seeing him at jazzfest in NOLA and hopefully Houston too.

$9.99 for 3.3 hours of music. Some special guest on the first two songs. Born in the USA in full. Tom Morello on The Ghost of Tom Joad...seems like a good deal

I knew Bruce releasing boots would cause me all sorts of problems. I'm having trouble deciding on two shows and which one to download. Too bad he didn't have download codes.

The answer is always to get both!

Haha yes and that's what I did. I ended up buying both 2/8, the last night in Perth, I believe, where they first did Highway to Hell. The other was the show with Eddie.

That's a nice Darkness set to open after Highway to Hell.

But the best Darkness opening was Philly Labor Day, 9/3/12, one day after PJ at MIA:

Been a while since I was in the Pit recently,
but the Pit I was last at was prettty relaxed.
You could chill at the back end with wide open spaces.
Alot more relaxed atmosphere then the reports and what I have seen at recent PJ gigs.

definitely worth being in the Pit at least once at a Bruce gig.

I guess it depends on how you feel about standing for a long time and getting there really early and how happy you would be if you didn't win.

I had GA in 2012 and ended up on the rail just slightly off center. I would say it's always worth it for that opportunity. I also had lower bowl seats in 2012 and that was also great. I had GA in 2008 and didn't win the lottery so was in the second pit, but it wasn't bad since I was there early so didn't end up too far from the barrier.

How do pit tickets work for Bruce? Are they sold before hand in the fan club like PJ does? Or are they avail to general public during live nation on sale?

Typically there is sort of a lottery system for GA ticket holders. You show up early to the show and get a number in sequential order. Let's say numbers 1 - 1500 are given out. They then randomly pick one of those numbers and that persons number is first in line to get into the pit with everyone behind him in number order...So it can be like 333,334....1000...1500.1.2.3....332

I guess depending on the size of the venue depends how many of those people 1-1500 get into the pit. The rest get first dibs at GA spots.
