    im listening now- first time ive ever put on coldplay...its ok. i bet it is really good live though. my brother got the free tix to msg to see coldplay.

    used to loooooooove parachutes, still think its a good albumm - spies live and shiver are incredible..

    thought rush of blood of blood was bit lame and same with x and y... should go back to doing stuff off parachutes, what i hear from a new song - dont know the name - it was pretty good.

    I like the first song.... not sure how I feel about the rest yet though. All I know is that its nowhere near Parachutes (or even Rush of Blood)

    I never realized martin had such range...In "yes" he's pretty much singing bass

    The vocal melody on lost is great

    All the playing is superb

    I think the only weakness the album has is song structure But I might just not "get it" yet.

    I guess I owe these guys an apology. The new album is something totally different than what I was expecting. I don't think it's great but it's a new direction that I didn't think they had in them. I honestly didn't think they had another decent record in them after X & Y. That record seemed strained and at times cheesy (Fix You, What If, The Hardest Part). This new one seems more like a real piece of art. The entire album flows well and doesn't drag on too long. 10 songs seems just about right here. 42 is about the closest thing I can find to a really great song on this record. In the end I give this album a thumbs up. These guys could have easily played it safe, released another album with 3 or 4 can't miss singles and gone on being the same old Coldplay. The fact that they didn't earns my respect.
