I've been on a huge stones kick lately. Been listening to Exile On Main Street for the past three weeks non stop.
What's yer favorite by theirs?

Can you see me now
I am myself
Like you somehow
I'll ride the wave
Where it takes me
I'll hold the pain
Release me
Can't wait to see them live in Copenhagen, august 5th!
I'm psyched
Can you see me now
I am myself
Like you somehow
I'll ride the wave
Where it takes me
I'll hold the pain
Release me
funny
exile or sticky fingers, as in either or.. still have my original vinyl for exile, but my sf vinyl was stolen by an evil ex wife.
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
Beggars Banquet LetitBleed Sticky Fingers Exile On Main Street.
Good album that was!
What a run!!
I guess if I had to pick one,,, Beggars Banquet. I'll never forget buying that album when it first came out, putting it on and that drumbeat for Sympathy for the Devil started. Haha,,,,, mannnnnnn!!!!!! what an album!
And of course, my favorite live album ever, which has gotten me across the country on road trips, and home on late night drives innumerable times!:

It was mine, too, until I heard the boots of that tour, and realised how much studio overdubbin' had gone on! That shouldn't really affect my view of a "live" album, but, ya know, it did!

"100 Years Ago" and "Hide Your Love" off that album are so great.

1,Vs 2,Vitalogy 3,No Code 4,Yield 5,Ten 6,Backspacer, 7Pearl Jam 8,Binaural 9,Riot Act.
I'm not sure I could choose one favorite from that bunch ... one of the greatest, if not THE greatest run in rock history.
Without a doubt!
Fins! Yup, Get Your Ya Ya's out definitely had some overdubs on it. Everyone knew that when it came out.
A lot of live albums did back then. Live at Leeds was full of them.
That was before the International Standard of Live Album Wholesomeness and Authenticity Act of 1977 was put into effect.
I still like it though!

I'll second that....have a "soft" spot for both of these tho.....
That is a great set of 3.
Man, I can't think of 4 albums in a row that were the soundtrack of my life like those Stones ones, though.
The only other run I can think of is the Bach Cello Suites 1-6.
6 great ones in a row!!
I was really young when Bach wrote them, though, so I couldn't buy albums yet.
