I don't understand how anyone can hate any music or say that music is shit.
Granted, there is music that doesn't work for me.  There is even music that I find very irritating.   But why hate it?  Just don't listen to it and find something you like.  If you work in a place where it's being played and you have no choice but to have to listen to it, don't hate the music.  Direct your anger toward the person or persons who don't take your feeling into account.  It's not the music that is bad.  There is not such thing as "bad music".

    LOL,poor Nickelback.

Well, let's take "How You Remind Me" as an example.  Like the other songs of theirs I've heard, it sounds very generic to me.  Do I hate it?  Nahh.  Have I ever listened to an entire album of theirs?  Nahh.  But a lot of people do and I'm happy for them.

Now let's go for something more challenging, a band that has been heavily trashed over the years:  The Shaggs, My Pal Foot Foot.  Do I hate it?  Not at all! Do I like it?  Not really, but I totally mesmerized by how unusual they were.  I could almost like this even:

But then, I'm a huge Albert Ayler fan, so maybe don't ask me about these things.

I have a healthy dislike for nickelback. Generic, overproduced (and often) misogynistic trash. And I was all in on most “post grunge” bands like Puddle of Mudd and Three Days Grace. I actually liked NB in the beginning…then Chad found his formula and stuck with it.

I definitely didn't wake up today imagining I would be reviewing old Everclear songs to remind myself if they suck or not.... Conclusion: yes, they do. I can't listen to one second more!

Aw, man. "Santa Monica" remains one of my all-time favorite songs. I can't say I cared much for other songs of theirs that I heard, but "Santa Monica" picks me up when I'm having a bad day.  Call it a guilty pleasure if you must.

Oh man, there was a girl way back on the PJ AOL forum that dubbed Sparkle and Fade on one side and another local (to her) band on cassette and sent it to me. She was from San Diego, but currently (then) lived in DC. I met up with her and five or so other AOL forum people for Randall's Island.

    Anyway, carry on😄
