Elliot Smith & Michael Andrews' score from Donnie Darko have been in high rotation too. I just LOVE how music can fit the mood of the season like this. The greatness of both are exaggerated and complimented so much by each other. Love that.

Minus the Bear - They Make Beer Commercials Like this(just moved back to vancouver when I discovered this band. Lots of play that winter)
Blind Melon - Nico(when I met my current girlfriend,in december 2002, she barely would have the heat on, so we'd get together with a blanket and hang out. This was the soundtrack to that)
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde(dylan makes more sense in the fall/winter than spring/summer.)
Pixies - Surfer Rosa(again, with the girlfriend, for getting me into blind melon, I got her into the pixies)
