Ahhhh....just sitting here listening to KID A (Optimistic) had me thinking about "winter albums". :o This one always fits the mood perfectly. Perhaps the fact that I discovered it while in Nebraska during snowy days exaggerates that...but regardless of the deeper reasons, there are certain albums that just seem to compliment this time of year. Let's hear some of your TOP 10! :)

•NO CODE/LOST DOGS disc2/BOSTON 3 '03 disc1 ~ Pearl Jam (had to sneak extras in there for Pearl Jam! Come on! :D )

•EUPHORIA MORNING ~ Chris Cornell

•KID A ~ Radiohead

•JAR OF FLIES ~ AIC

•TIDAL ~ Fiona Apple

•IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR ~ Led Zeppelin

•A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD ~ Coldplay

•SEA CHANGE ~ Beck

•UNPLUGGED~ Nirvana

•DUMMY ~ Portishead

It's hard to stop. :p There's so many I'm leaving out, but those are definitely some top ones that come to mind.

((HAD to change my list thanks to reefer. ;)Joni Mitchell ~ Blue is still one of my favs though so I'll just sneak in this mention even though it got the boot. :p))

hehe, it's true about Boston 3. I'm actually surprised that disc still works!! Definitely one of my most listened to. I do find myself enjoying it extra much during this time of year though. :o
    Nirvana - Unplugged

OMG YES! Shit, how in the world could I forget?? *slaps self* NIRVANA Unplugged....ooooh man, SOOOOO perfect! I think it's *edit* time. ;)

Nice call with DOTU, which of course is absolutely brilliant anytime. ;):p:D haha. I'm all about the slower stuff this time of year and must say, ZERO CHANCE gets even more play than usual around this time (which is saying a LOT). ;)

Very nice list my friend. :) Nice lists all around. It's interesting to see what people listen to and match up with the mood of the season.

I'm also visioning Jack Johnson to get a lot of play this winter as i've just recently started listening to him, and am really enjoying his chilled out style:)

haha! Ahhhh ok, yes I have. My Dad was actually a huge Dinosaur Jr fan...but even so (surpringly), I still was never really exposed to much of them. I should really change that. Over the years I've just heard nothing but great things about them

As far as J Masics is concerned...solo accoustic performance??! I'm sold! :D I'm gonna track that beauty down. ;)

I love that album, so raw and intimate, so many great versions to Dino Jr. tracks, but I think the most charming thing there is his cover to The Boy with the Thorn on his Side. A great cd, I recommend it to anyone with good taste.

Awesome Picks. Specially the first one.
  • I have been listening to tons of Floyd lately. The Wall and Animals, I think, fit the season perfectly. I pop in the occasional Tool or System, but my Floyd collection is dominating my cd player. Live at Pompeii is gettin alotta play time in the ps2 as well.
