I agree 100% percent with Tim.
Its ok to be a well reasoned and articulate critic, but the childish negativity and bad mouthing is totally unnecessary.

He is right, these guys bust hump to get this stuff done. Even if you dont like it you dont have to be an ass about it.

why is this a thread? so a moderator (or whatever Rubysdad is) let his guard down and turned into a whiny, defend pearl jam at all costs fan for a moment. which is fine....but he posted it in another thread. we don't need this thread praising his post in another thread....do we?

i'm alos tired of the negativity.. people complaining about the tour dates, about the setlists, about the posters, about the collaboration with verizon, etc.
it just makes me sick.
1C announces that wthere will be boots, available in different formats and there are still people to complain !

Agree 100% ! Thanks 10C and Pearl Jam ! But calling paying customers assholes!? Not a good behaviour! Why add negativity?

The whole "this is our board" and "you can't say certain things" really keeps my whole post count low.

There is always going to be two sides to everything, right? We could go round and round about justification and what should or shouldnt be acceptable and how each other should or shouldnt conduct ones self. At the end of the day, he is human just like you and me. Something got to him and he voiced his displeasure here. Was it justified? You say no, I say yes. So that pretty negates that. It happened and it is over. Is it a double standard? Maybe, but I get that it is THIER board, and right or wrong, they have the final decision and I respect that. Do I always agree with them? No, but it is what it is,, It will be talked about for a few days(maybe longer unless it gets deleted...;) )and we will move on. Sorry you feel you cant come here and you keep your posts down. Sometimes it is a pretty cool place to be! You should hang around and see. I have made some VERY GOOD friends here and actually learned alot about people, and myself by hearing others life experiences. I have actually really grown and changed because of things I have read here and things I have learned here. Best thing is that We all shre the same interest which is PJ, and I can talk about them ALL DAY LONG!!! take care and be sound!!

of course...however, it IS true......one would get a time-out for that post. period. we all know it. it is clearly a BIG part of the guidelines here. and hey, i 100% agree with the sentiment of tim's post, but could he have said the exact same thin sans the name-calling? you bet. that's also why people are taken to task, given time-outs b/c we ALL can express our opinions without resorting to name-calling.


that said, i don't quite view it as a double-standard. tim doesn't post all that regularly in any case. they DO run the board, and yes...perhaps poor choice of language, which many have done the same. sure, for most there would be consequences - if a first offense, maybe a 24 or 36 hour ban? maybe? - however, i think we all understand tim's and many others feelings of frustrations with such, and yea.....bad call on the language but the sentiment rings enitrely true.
