crybaby** - TS-9+ - Greedtone - H20 chorus / analog delay*** - Boss DD6 digital delay - MXR phase 90
** - my poor old crybaby is having some problems.. it seems to be stuck on "on".. no matter how many times I click it, it stays on. What's wrong???
*** - Nice pedal at first, but it seems to have deteriorated over the course of a year.. the delay distorts the sound, the chorus changes the volume level to an often uncomfortable degree, and the entire thing seems to be putting some weird compression on my sound now. I'm thinking of ditching it and getting a nice delay (ibanez maybe) and a good chorus pedal. Not that I need another delay.. the Boss DD6 is amazing.. but I like to have 2
In an ideal situation my Fender Blender wouldn't be broken and would be sitting right after the Greedtone.

I reckon a wee bit too!! Like flea.
Well you and the horsey look fine mate! Great shot!
So how's the birthday coming along. Pressies sound great. Got any plans for tonight?
And don't be worrying about the age, figured from the shot you were maybe my age which gives you a few years back anyway! So you're preserving well dear! Always a good thing!! Besides life begins at 40 or so they say, I'll let you know in a year or so!!
Plans for tonight include family hugs. Piling me, my wife, and Piglet and Lily (the 2 dogs in the BFG shot) into one single lounge is a very therapeutic exercise.
Then maybe some Yellow Ledbetter and some more work on Little Wing, teh SRV version, which we covered in my lesson on Monday. It's a work in progress, I tell ya.
They say life begins at 40, but they are bloody lying !!

:D:D That sounds cool lucy! Nothing like everybody snuggled up on the couch together!!
Love Yellow Ledbetter!! Always makes me so happy!!
You just keep plucking away at it fella! You clearly have more patience than me!!
NO! NO! NO! Don't tell me that!! I was thinking the reason my 30s had been so shit compared to my 20s was because my 40s where gonna make up for everything!! Surely they can't be that bad?

Well, like everthing, swings and roundabouts I suppose. Less pressure in your 40's, I feel I have achieved enough in life, and am certianly past trying to prove anything to anybody.
The bod takes a lot more maintainence though, savage diet and regular gym to stay in shape, and ache for days after big exercise. No guilt about Sunday sleep ins, or afternoon naps though, old people are allowed those.
Not so much that thery are so bad, just not better than 30's.
Remeber the Floyd song "Time"??, Don't hang about waiting for shit to happen, or for life to get better, gotta get out there and make it happen.
Carpe Diem baby !!
BTW, nice big swell today, snuck in a lunch-time surf, he he !!

Yeah, maybe we're in different life circumstances mate. But that's cool.
You sound like you got it pretty much covered and under control!!
And good on you!! See? YOUR 40's don't sound so bad after all!!
Yeah, well I'm more of a if you make it through today that's ok kinda girly.
No seizing, just plodding. Plodding is good, you get to see more!
And plus a fits and starts kinda thing too. Can't seize every day. Just make sure you seize some!
Ah!! Well I am envious of that lucy!! A lunch time surf!!
Now that would be well worth leaving the house for!!
You have a great rest of your birthday!!
Sending happy thoughts and peace your way.

Yeah, I did my seizing a few years ago, and I'm now in the plod as well, but generally am happy with the direction of my plodding.
Thank you for your happy thoughts, you have a great one too !!
Here's my thought fo rtoday, my favourite lyrics .............
he floated back down cause he wanted to share
his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
but first he was stripped, and then he was stabbed
by faceless men, well fuckers...he still stands
and he still gives his love, he just gives it away;
the love he recieves is the love that is saved
and sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
a human being that was given to fly...........
yeah, made it myself over a couple days. I put permanent in/out jacks on the sides so I didn't have to keep plugging/unplugging from pedals. Only problem is the wah
If idle hands are the devil's workshop, he must not be very productive.
very tidy, I'm thinking theis is gonna become a traynor fan site, they seem to be the flavour. I like that channel 1 is the dirty one, and that clean has to stand in line for a change, he he !!
From left to right: no name classical (my first guitar ever), 1984 B.C. Rich NJ Eagle bass (back when BCR made good quality instruments), Standard Fender Strat, 1984 B.C. Rich NJ Warlock (again, back when they made good quality guitars), Ibanez MM1 Baritone. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/rigneyclan/P1140237.jpg
I don't have recent pics of my gear. My guitars are being built (Motorave Belaire and LeMans), and won't be here until July/August. My amp is pretty sweet...Divided by 13 RSA23 w/ a custom made 2x12 that is built to Orange Specs and loaded with Scholz 12's.
I have this delay pedal that you have to see...coolest pedal ever. I will shoot a pic when I get home tonight
Man, not only do you have a superb collection but all of your guitars are in perfectly kept condition, which I so admire.
I admit I am very fussy with all mine, they all live in their cases, and I am pretty meticulous with cleaning and care.
Is that a Larivee acoustic I see ??
well, the fenders have various battle scars unfortunately. the mustang is clean though. the finish is coming off the neck of the tele and, as can be seen, it has no electronics right now. the bass has some finish checking and some marks here and there but has a great feel to it. same with my SG, i bought it used even though i had a newer and rarer one in natural burst. this one just feels way better so i sold the burst.
but i try to take care of things.
the tele and my morgan acoustic are in the roughest shape as they were the guitars i took to gigs but they've all got marks here and there.
there were 100 made or something, i don't know for sure. mine doesn't have the "california" in the fretboard (good) but it's signed my wendy larrivee which most weren't (good).
i'm hit or miss with it. it's beautiful unplugged but amplified, it's a little trouble. i had to take the b-band system out of it (terrible) and put in a baggs i-beam which improved it. good for finger picking and lead type things since it's a little bright. not as much for strumming. my morgan is still my ultimate favourite. the larrivee is still breaking in though so it's gets better as the days go by. doesn't get a lot of playing time though.
I'm tired of all maple and the bulkiness of the onboard preamp which I feel kind of kills some of the resonance.
I've been looking at the breedlove atlas series as well as larrivee but it's tough to find solid woods at around a grand especially when you're looking for spruce and rosewood, I'm probably going to have to settle with laminant sides. How do you like the feel on the california?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
feelwise it's brilliant. the OM body fits me well. the neck's pretty standard, nothing unusual and it feels good. the actions nice and low, even with mediums on it.
i'd prefer gloss on the neck to the satin but in time it'll smooth out.

good I was begining to think I was wierd because I like gloss finish on the neck.
I miss a full round bass response that you get from rosewood.
I've also decided all my guitars will have locking tuners. I love new strings, but I hate changing them, after the freaking tapdance I had to do on that 62, screw it I'm buying the vintage lockers.

for whatever reason, i don't really have tuning issues. whether it's the heavier strings or the blocked trem, i don't know. i guess i just don't bend that much or something.
