    JMP and JCM....what's the difference and what do those initials mean?
    there is a ton of info here. there is a part one to this but it talks about the older marshalls. this one starts in 1973 or so i think and goes to the jcm 2000s. this should answer your questions:

    JCM stands for James (Jim) Charles Marshall, the progenitor of Marshall amps. JMP stands for Jim Marshall Products. JTM stands for Jim & Terry Marshall (Terry was Jim's son). JVM stands for Jim & Victoria Marshall. They're all just various series in the Marshall timeline.
