I have this poster but this pic is someone else's frame job. I don't even know where I got the picture  . Anyone know where I can find this color green mat? I've been striking out. I think the job above looks killer.
thanks bro. it is one of my favorites.
all my posters have been framed at Michaels. I typically wait until i get an email for some major sale (typically 50% + 10% off custom framing) which surprisingly come way more often than i would expect.....
ill dig around and see if i can find the receipt for this one so i can tell you the exact colors, but usually with either double or triple matting, special glass and mounting they come to about $125 - $150 each.....0 -

so, it's yours? We have Michaels around here. I'll check them out. I avoid that place like the plague because, here in Utah, it's Molly Mormon scrapbooking headquartersIf I had known then what I know now...

NICE ONE!!!
Who's the poster artist on this one???
Love the picks too :ugeek:
Crosshair out of Chicago, supposedly it was a run of 900 but I don't think anywhere near that were sold as these were not sold at the shows(only the Black Light schedule poster was available). Only 3 people have this poster listed in their collection on ExpressoBeans which also leads me to suspect the run was not that large. When I bought the poster it was through the TSP website through a night sale (that got delayed for a few hours) and something like the first 50 (?) orders were going to be autographed by TSP and my order number was like 20 past the cutoff number LOL.
A quick follow up on this, I emailed Crosshair to get some more info and he replied very promptly with some good info(that I will be printing and attaching to the back of this poster frame. Here it is:
"That's a great looking frame up. Where did you have it done?
That poster was designed by my former partner Jeff Panall, who is no longer with Crosshair. It required a constant back and forth with the Pumps manager at the time, Sharon Osbourne. Yes, that Sharon Osbourne. On more than one occasion Jeff had conversations with her where he would say something, she would put her hand over the receiver, repeat what he had said to Corgan, Corgan would reply, and then she would repeat it, making the process twice as slow and four times as awkward as it needed to be. Kind of a hilarious situation. This was the second Pumps poster Jeff designed, the first being that godawful blacklight one with the tour dates on it...a product of far too much art direction by Ms. Osbourne. On the one you have, Jeff stuck to his guns and the resulting poster is much closer to his artistic vision at the time, and far better IMO. The layout was a combination of hand-cut rubylith, photocopies from a book of old trashy sci-fi flicks, and text layout in CorelDraw.
There were indeed 900 made. The blacklight one was an edition of 1300. I don't recall whether the former was sold at shows or not.
Both designs were made into tshirts at the time, and reprints later on. We were too clueless and naive to negotiate usage/licensing for other applications of the art, and so we got nothing for that. We were 3 years out of college and flying by the seat of our pants, often leaving ourselves wide open to be taken advantage of.
I hope that is illuminating! Thanks for the pic.
Best wishes,

I've never been on the poster kick, but there were a few editions recently I just loved and finally got them framed. My favorite, the Ken Taylor Mexico City, wish I could have been at this show:

this is turning into a big cluster fuck...
I already bought the frame from american frame....so I just need mats....I did find the lime green at michaels but they quoted me $113 just for 3 MATS  ....and none of their coupons apply to mats.
long story short, I am having the lime green mat cut at a real frame shop for $40 and will get the yellow and black ones the next time I oreder from american frame (for < $25 total). I plan to pick up a flight to mars poster next month, so I'll be putting in an order then...If I had known then what I know now...

PJ20 Movie Soundtrack Scavenger Hunt (Uniondale Park, Long Island):
Not to leave out my other son who was not at soccer camp that day (showing outside of "carrier" it was in):
Self frame with dual glass from The Hoff (note the perfect cut out at top). Top was written in marker by Scavenger Hunt folks. Lower sheet is just instructions that came in the box on what to do when we found the poster laid on top of the mat. Back:
Front:
Marking lower left corner indicating Track Number (27 #pj20):
Hanging above my wine cabinet and other epic trip's (Korea World Cup 2002) momento:
I don't know why Photobucket is blurring the pictures when I make them smaller. They are taken with a 13 Mp camera and are crystal clear in original format. I would think making them smaller would make them clearer (if anything, or possible)
Thanks, again Hoff!!! See my PJ20 Hampton a couple of posts up (and snuck into one in this message). The colors are magnificient on that one. He matched the greenish drapes, shirts, etc. on inner mat and accented the table cloth, etc. perfectly outside. Modern day Freedom from Want indeed!
