Don't know - something about owl = Illuminati? Pretty happy though, I now have a Munk - a few Ames - Pendleton - Klausen and a London Police for my Pearl Jam prints. PS - the photos I take suckkkkk.

Took my AP U2/PJ Honolulu to Michael's yesterday and walked out with a quote for $622 and a sad look on my face! Admittedly that was with triple mats and their best acrylic but still...balls!

Go to a mom and pop framer. Should be a fourth of that cost.

Yes. American Frame is pretty great. I've used them for all of my posters & prints.
I just had a Derek Hess print framed by them & it turned out really nice.

I'll try & post some pics soon.
(Once I have time & I can figure out how to do it)

Cost is very much dependent on matte type, quality & amount along with the choice of actual frame material. Museum glass filters out UV light protecting the poster from fading...

Museum glass is the highest quality. They usually have that and then something called "Conservation clear"

both are 99% UV protection, but CC has a glare. Museum glass is MUCH more expensive, but it looks like nothing is there. So I would say Museum glass is NOT necessary, but if you have the cash to throw around, why not.

The cool thing is that the simplest and cheapest brown wooden frame matches my furniture, it's not too wide either, plus I don't leave too much space between the frame and the poster, I choose regular glass for the back, and in the front I use what they call "antireflex", so the light bounce off of the glass a you get the best view as possible, I'm gonna check about museum glass, by the way, estimate cost for the poster which is being frames is 35 USD, bear in mind I live in Buenos Aires, here's a pic of 2013 PJ poster in Buenos Aires

question: I've used americanframe.com for supplies to do roughly 30 posters....their colors of mat board have been steadily dwindling over the years. Does anyone use a similar site to americanframe that has a better selection of mat board colors?

Have you tried selecting an acid free mat? They have different color choices for the different price levels.

You hace to post them somewhere else first

once uploaded, right click on the image an then click on "copy link of the image" from the menu

then come back here, and click on the image button, next to the C on the right, above the comment box

When you click there a new window will pop up, you have to paste the link you've just have copied there

Then click on preview to check it has worked out, you might need to paste the link on the comment box as well

This works for YouTube links too
