This is from my first Pearl Jam concert and is my "holy grail". I finally aquired this this past November. The RRHF poster is also a Derek Hess.

These are from my 3rd and 4th shows.

    My Billboard Print.
I did not go to the Ireland show. I bought the poster from 10Club back in 1997 or 1998 and had it framed about 6-7 years ago.

    GREAT Framing job Matt!!!
I agree with shep too... DO NOT DRYMOUNT IT!!!!
My rule of thumb is if the poster is signed / numbered I won't drymount it...
I have drymounted a few of my larger & less expensive posters...
but these are the ones that I would never even think of letting go!!!
Did you cut the frame yourself??
I LOVE black frames like these and I think they really make the posters POP!!!
I don't think this poster needs a matte either...looks AWESOME the way it is!!! :ugeek:

Thanks Dave. I did cut the frames myself. I've done a bunch now. They aren't perfect but they serve their purpose. With as many posters as I have, I can't afford to have them all custom framed, matted, etc. Here's another I did that came put pretty well.

And for those Derek Hess lovers in the crowd (he did this one with a toothbrush)...

You and I have alot of the same posters Jason. Congrats on tracking down the Derek Hess. Mine is old and has a little wear and tear on it since I was young and stupid when I bought it. I was lucky enough to get it shortly after the show in '94 from Mr. Hess himself at a record show in Columbus for $20. Looking back I wish I would have bought every poster he had there that day

Thanks! I had to get mine from that auction site noone seems to like. I know I probably overpaid for it too. There is some damage around the edges especially at the bottom. It looked worse in person than the pictures but with it matted and framed you can't tell. You just don't see this one too often & I thought I better grab it.

Also, someone on here claimed to know the seller and that he was an honest stand up guy. Whether that's true or not, I said what the hell and got it.

It sounds like you must be from the middle or north part of Ohio?

    Thank you.

I got all of my frames from American Frame, The blue mat is a good match to the blue in the print and the green frame brings out the green in the print nicely.

Finally got around to posting this for the fellow poster freaks here  I think these two came out really great, even though the Munk One was a pain to match everything with. Both are double-matted, pulling a lot of the colors from within the posters. They both also have blue frames. The Soto is a midnight blue, and the Munk One is an antiqued, pale blue.

I love the matting, especially how you covered some of the extra whit border on the top, but displayed it in the bottom to show the signatures!!

These frames are very cool, had a few posters done by the Hoff. Look so much more better in person. I hope he runs another special using these frames as I have a few more posters I would like to get done and should be able to afford now that Xmas is over. I find the pics with the black frames don't do them any justice unless you see them up close :)

Kickass poster but you may wanna think about dry mounting that sucker.
    ....

 ... As all the old poster heads read this and collectively made the same face I do while watching Jackass....OOoo(sucking air between teeth), um yeah.. No. That's just sacriledge. Do you ever watch Antiques Roadshow? Shutup those that are snickering, lol. You ever see a beautifull old antique desk, say where some1 has sanded it down to put a "nice, New" finish on it? That's when they're like... "Well this would of put your grandkids thru college,... If you had'nt taken a sander to it"! Never Drymount any valuable poster/print! Beware..a lot of generic framing places will recommend this because they don't know anything about Gig poster art. Its cool if you bought a $10.00 poster from wall-mart not so much when its a rare 15+yr old signed/#'d piece of art. It may have a utilitarian purpose but you could argue.. so does throwing a poster on the wall with thumbtacks and tape. Technically it would hold the poster while also destroying quite a bit of the value. Matting would have a similiar effect as drymounting without damaging it. If you wanted, you should be able to pull the poster out just as it went in. Allthough I've never tryed it, I've heard you can also have posters/prints pressed to flatten them. Props!, that's a nice old school poster.. ;) I love his older NIN posters as well. At some point I'll have to take some pics of a few things to show you guys. Everything I've seen on here recently has looked really good. Its cool getting to see peoples choices of framing and matting and how it changes the overall apearence. Hope everybody is enjoying their weekends and looking forward to tommorrows announcement... :D
