    survival of the fittest.
  • Here is the email reminder I received in January...seems to me that 10C is doing a great job of keeping us up to date w/our memberships...

"This is just a friendly reminder that your membership has either expired or is about to expire. PLEASE NOTE: You now have 3 months from the date of your expiration to renew and retain your member number and seniority. If you renew after the 3-month grace period, you will receive a new member number and lose all established seniority. Please follow the instructions below to renew your membership and retain your seniority status..."

Seems before a tour announcement Kat always says we all should have our memberships up to date. if its a tour announcement coming mid week why didnt she mention it?

Always be sure you're up-to-date so you don't risk missing out on something. That's right from the birdy. :)

because those who renew their memberships will whine if the tour announcement doesn't benefit them.

I'm thinking that along with the announcement of Body of War stuff, I wouldn't be surprised with a VFC type of tour coming up.

It's funny how adamant some people around here are that there won't be a tour.

well, i guess i'm hoping it's not a huge tour cause i just used up 80% of my vacation days to see eddie in california....

but regardless of that, I still dont think it's a full on tour.

it COULD be simply b/c if it's a VFC type of minitour like in 2004....there were NO 10c tix, thus no need for up-to-date memberships. just one of numerous possibilities.

We are on the same wavelength. :)

Because I think that birdy is flying by a certain studio with hopes that an album will be released so the band can go on tour like they always do in a presidential election year. tweet tweetly-tweet

yeah, they should go to Texas and play Rock around Barack three nights in a row, that will do him in for good.

    I agree

we have album release info coming up....betcha!!!

they wouldn't do the Roo with same ol' stale sets whilst all the other bands are going to be showcasing new albums and new material.

I'm hoping it's an announcement for the Ed solo gigs on the East Coast.

Oh... and don't fuck with the minimum wage people at a gig that have the authority to kick your sorry ass out of the arena.

I am officially paranoid right now.
  • No need to discuss this anymore. We decided in another thread that it is not a tour announcement...yet.

PJ will be releasing Acocado b-sides and a few new ditties under the Radiohead "pay what you want" model.

Welp. There you have it. It is settled.

Since tomorrow marks 6 weeks since the announcement of PJ playing Bonnaroo, I believe that a contractual window has now expired.

If this is true, some bands may now be at liberty to divulge other touring plans this week without damaging Bonnaroo's initial ticket sales push. Cases in point include Metallica and the Raconteurs both announcing tour dates for the summer this week.

Also, this could explain why Ed solo shows on the April Fools tour were marketed and sold as such (a loophole to avoid upsetting Bonnaroo promoters).

I'm just guessing out loud here, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me. Guess we'll know tomorrow.

I am so jaded that if it is indeed PJ dates instead of solo, I will fret over the fact that I only have tix for LA1!
