    Cemetery Gates - Pantera

I still play it to get me in the mood if i'm not feeling it. The intro just makes you want to rock. I never get sick of it and i've been playing a long time.

A horse with no name, by America, I think. Easy 2 chords, but quickly stepped it up to Beatle songs.

Hmm.... first song I played all the way through was probably Doesn't Remind Me by Audioslave. But Heart of Gold might have been in there too. Or RITFW. I'm not really sure. :D

No, its E minor. Check any tab of the song, or better yet check his hands on any video performance of the song

  • The first song I learned on acoustic guitar was Neil Young's Old Man (showing my age) and my son's was GreenDay's Time of Your Life (Good Riddance).

Hehe that made me smile because my 9 year old cousin is into Green Day and i would cringe every time he came over and picked up one of my guitars and noodled around with bits of their tunes.

He would look at me and go 'i'm getting better aren't i?' and i'd just nod and smile and say mmm-hmm.

He used to tell me i was 'old' because i wasn't much of a Green Day fan. I was 23. Too funny. :)

That was one of my first songs too however, the solo is STILL impossible for me. Any tips or places where I can find the right tab?

Isn't that the first song everyone learns?

Haha, it was for a lot of people! Except for those of us who started playing before the song was written! :D

Me,,, it was probably Satisfaction when the Stones in the USA for the first time. Then when the Kinks came out, "You really got me".
