Dave A., was way too busy with everything, hitting splashes like he was in the Dave Matthews Band or something. Listening to that stuff after several years of listening to other stuff, I think he overplayed a lot. At least Krusen could get into the groove and let others in the band fill up the space instead of him trying to cram every measure with kick drum triplets with accented sixteenth notes on two splashes . . .
They all had their strengths and weaknesses. Dave A. gets a lot of flak for how much he uses the cymbals and such but i thought that was cool. Jack took a minimalist approach which i think fit what they were doing at the time. Not a flashy guy. it's really too bad he had health problems and stuff. Matt is so reliable! He can keep it going for those long shows! And when he first joined for the Yield tour he had two days notice! That's impressive!
Someone asked before...Yeah Dave Grohl and Eddie are friends. i read where Dave thinks that Eddie with his dark humor is one of the funniest guys in the business.
"Dude...it's a hamburger on top of a rocket ship!"

yield and no code are just amazing, esp. the drums of no code
I haven't ever really compared the live stuff, though...
Cameron is an amazing drummer, but, I think, a bit over technical.
his song writing rocks, though (i love evacuation)
