Also Even Flow in Raleigh N2. It was my first time in the pit & I was right behind the rail people in front of Mike. A super nice guy called Jeremy who heard my pit cherry is being popped that night offered me his spot on the rail for the song.
In front of Mike, which is the perfect place to be! Will never forget it!
Cheers to Jeremy if he's here!
Probably the Jeremy who is in all of my photos up front

Hard to pick just one, 39 shows in.

When Alive started during the Ten Show in Philly - confirmation what was expected after they opened with Once for the 2nd night in a row.

Hunger Strike in Pittsburgh - no explanation needed

RITFW Vegas 2003 - chatted up a security guard before the show who was stationed right next to our end of the row floor seats.  he was pretty stoic during the show watching the crowd doing his job but then during RITFW he started jumping up and down and totally getting into it. was super cool to see

Given to Fly in Philly 2024 after Ed honored the Geaudreu brothers who were killed earlier that week.  had me in tears.

Alive Camden 2008, my 1st show.  Couldn't believe how good it sounded and how loud everyone was singing it.

I'm sure if i gave it more thought I could come up with more but those are just the 1st 5 off the top of my head

Release, Wrigley 2013 - So much anticipation for this show. Felt like the entire community was there. The sing-along to start was incredible.

Crown of Thorns, TD Garden 2010 - First, last and only Massachusetts performance of this song came after a lengthy request campaign here by one of our dearly departed (ahem...banned) members. "27 shows and I don't think we've ever played this one here, so..." Incredible moment.

Undone, TD Garden 2010 - For Howard Zinn. They wouldn't play it again for more than a decade.

    Great idea for a thread.

So hard to narrow down. So many good times!
-2011 Vancouver. Chloe/Crown was a big one. Only the 5th time it had been played in full. Felt really lucky. Got it again in ‘24.
-2013 Vancouver. Jeff wearing a broken piece of one of swinging orbs as a hat 🤣
-2018 Seattle 2. My most memorable show. Whole stadium singing It’s Ok was unreal. Finally got Sonic Reducer. Intense cover of Missing. All Or None. Absolute stunner of a show.

Obviously not a PJ song, but Masters of War from Wrigley 2016 really stuck with me. I play it especially often these days.

It isn't my favorite song, but they fucking CRUSHED it that night.

    This is a great thread.
I have so many , and it made me think.
    Thank you.

Also so many are for selfish reasons and many are for moments of awe. And moments of sorrow.
.it's amazing but it made me feel that's the main thing isn't it?

    True.
Inside Job: was lucky to see a few times. That is a tear jerker song for sure. When Mike comes out with that double neck geeetaar looking very serious get ready to get my heart McMelted

Interstellar Overdrive is just perfect way to elevate the great yet familiar Corduroy.

Arms Aloft I do not like. Dirty Frank tease into dirty water. No no no & nooooo whaaa

Sonic Reducer  Always brings me back to the metal day's when I used to blast Overkills cover version, always thought it was their song until pj schooled me.

I Believe in Miracles, nyc when ev called Johnny Ramone from stage and left him a mssg!! love it every time.

Stone taking the mic on No Lip. Denver

Of the Earth same show^^^! Jaw dropper

Tim B bringing the 10c members a little closer together MCing & mingling at Seattle pop shop.

Tom the merch man always being super kind to us maniacs. 'If it wasn't for you all,i wouldn't have a job." He proudly showed me his LB Stone pick from his pocket..  RIP

A bit off topic, but is in that same area of my brain the pj music experience has been permanently infected!

Might have to return to some live boots again.

Oh man, how could I not mention Release at Fenway night one in 2018. One of the most memorable videos I've seen/heard... And it was taken OUTSIDE the park.

5/25/06 Boston - Leash - This was a huge song request for a few years and it seemed the band might never play it again.  Coming off the 3 Mansfield shows in 2003, and the 2 2004 shows to start the VFC tour, Boston area fans had been spoiled and this was just another way the band showed their appreciation for the area fans.  First time the song had been played in 11 years.

9/11/22 NYC - Release - Come on...this song to start a show on 9/11 in NYC?  Unreal performance and crowd.

Why Go as the opener in Piedmont Park, 2012, Atlanta, Georgia! A hometown show, and my first time seeing them after a 6 year drought. I pushed down into the front area of the park and got decently close. I could not wait for the show to start and the first song did not disappoint. The crowd was super into it and the band sounded incredible! You can really hear it on the boot, that show still sounds incredible to me and has a great mix of band and audience.

RITFW to close out the same show. After 12 shows, I still had not seen it live! Eddie rushed the band through a 3.5 minute version, claimed he would pay the fine for curfew, and the band killed it. Was so happy for that show (the poster is so good!).

Catching a super rare for the time, Low Light, at MSG in ‘03. My favorite PJ song for years (until Inside Job). Honestly, that whole show was absolutely stunning.

    Honorable mentions:

Inside Job in Chicago 2016 with an emotional introduction!

Of the Earth in Jacksonville while I was in the pit!

Full band W.M.A. in Greenville during the Vs. play through!
