    Since we are talking about facts, training, and escalation with the new video released you can see the agent was under no threat. Lets walk through the sequence:
    He exited his vehicle.
    A defense position protocol would have been to use the vehicle to block the threat or use for cover..
    He walked all the way around the vehicle film with his cellphone. (Notice no body cam footage)
    He talked to the driver, eventual victim, who attempted to de-escalate. She even said she was not mad at him.
    He engaged the second person. No threat
    By now he had all their information.
    He is told as much and he knows he has no authority over lawful citizens which clearly irritated him
    He then switches hands with his cellphone to free his gun hand after he didn't like being told to move on
    He against all protocols and standard operating procedures moves in front of the vehicle to stand because he was sure he could dominate the two women.
    This is where we see clear poor training, bad intent, and abuse of power.
    He made a decision to change his behavior and assume an aggressive position
    He encourages escalation from other agents.
    He then pulls his gun
    Through the windshield the driver can be seen turning the wheel all the way to the right until it stops to avoid any contact.
    He knew there was under no threat. He watched her with his gun drawn.
    He leaned into the vehicle to shoot while still recording with his cellphone
    He is bumped after shooting
    He never falls, or even loses his phone
    No one carrying a cellphone would ever be trained to shoot while doing so.
    He then curses at her after shooting her
    Then doesn't pursue despite claims she was a threat
    Then leaves the scene against protocol
    The rest of the ICE agents on scene refuse her medical attention afterwards ensuring death.
    This is unlawful use of lethal and excessive force
    In real time its blinks of an eye. This is a tragedy. It highlights why training is critical.
    Why those with authority hold a responsibility to be responsible members of the community and citizens.
    It reveals how tough the job law enforcement does each day is.
    It highlights there are a lot of good officers and agents.
    It reveals this murderer is not one of them.
    It also reveals the destructive nature of the current administration, their lack of honesty, and clear disregard for human life or public safety. Their responsibility is to tell their force to be conscious as citizens, or protect the population Instead they say keep going you have "absolute immunity." They are escalating lawlessness.
    Remember you only need immunity if you know you committed an illegal act.

    I know several here will see it as defending ice, and I'm not.

    Ice has the authority to arrest and detain citizens as well if you threaten, assault or obstruct a federal officer like ice.
    From what I'm hearing, Renee wasn't just driving down the street and got stopped by ice. She was part of a group of protestors and had parked her car in the middle of the road for several minutes. Ice has 100% authority to ask you to move if they are working in the area and they feel it is obstructing their job. If you refuse, they have the right to detain you.  Up until moments prior to the shooting, I don't see anything they did illegally. Maybe they could have done a better job deescalating the situation, but that isn't illegal. 

    Renee and others were protesting and distracting the ice raids. They remained after being asked to leave until it got to the point she felt she was about to be arrested and decided to leave, probably assuming no one would follow her and she can come back later. 
    Agree with ice raids or not, it is still illegal to obstruct them and they have the authority to arrest you if you do. 

    Now I've said before, and I'll emphasize it again, obstructing and antagonizing law enforcement doesn't justify lethal force. I think the shooting is wrong and not necessary. They should have let her drive away and followed up at a later time if they felt the need to. But it wasn't illegal to ask her to get out of the car and attempt to open it when she refused. That does not justify a shooting though.
