    2023 Honda Passport
it’s nice… my lease is up in February. So everyone is soliciting me to buy their suv. I’ve had all the fun cars in my younger years.. I now shop to get most bang for my buck on leasing . I’d even downsize a bit… Honda has a neat electric suv the Prologue that has nice deals.. might do that

I’m good at shopping around… so I’ll pick 4-5 options and see who gives me the best deal. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas prob my sweet spot to get a deal

some imports are pricier due to the tariffs fyi

    That's nice BIG SUV there.
I would love driving that, but I just dont need something that size. Im looking at some of the glorified station wagons, haha, GMC Terrain, Chevy Trailblazer, maybe another Jeep.
But yeah if I wanted to drop $50k? A 2026 Passport would definitely interest me.

I doubt you could get a 2026 passport for $50k.

you want a glorified station wagon? get an outback. they’re great.

are you gonna be like 99% of “SUV” owners and never take it off the pavement?

We have a couple Dodge Durangos and really like them. Both of them have been reliable, comfortable and fun to drive. My wife was in an accident with one (not her fault) and that vehicle did a terrific job with passenger protection. Ended up buying another one to replace the totaled one.

    Love it

Oh, suv....Mrs FMe has a Subaru Ascent Onyx that she loves.  It is alright.  I actually liked her old Forrester that she drove until it died, better.

Easy to see up in suv or truck but I gotta drive a car.

    Subaru does make good shit.

We've got a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Bought in 18 and still going strong. I change oil routinely and have replaced the battery and brakes. Other than that, we have done nothing else and it has not failed us yet. Just the two of us and a dog.

We have rented newer Grand Cherokees, a Cadillac suv, GMC Terrain, Subaru Ascent & Toyota Highlander and a Kia Sorrento (off memory). All have been fine, though I would rate the Cadillac #1, the Grand Cherokee, Terrain and Ascent group 2 and the Highlander and Sorrento last.

I am admittedly partial to the Grand Cherokees and Subaru products as they get their steel from our union steel mills in Indiana.

    Absolutely
Im really thinking of buying a brand stinking new 2026, which could very well be the last vehicle I ever buy. I think the vehicle has a better chance of surviving 10 years than I do. Haha

If anyone has an opinion on a Chevy Trailblazer, let me know? It it decent? Is it garbage? Is there a reason I can get one brand new for under $25k? Is the engine the equivalent of 3 chipmunks on a treadmill?

I know better, in my mind, I know to buy a year or 2 used. But for my last hurrah, I may just buy brand stinking new.
