1) Why does the big picture of the band pop up and make me scroll down each time I switch categories?  For me it would be better if it did not exist.  But just personal preference.
2) Why keep the ribbon at the top with "Pearl Jam" but no category links up there to put your favorite ones for quicker moving between the Porch, AMT, Lost Dogs...

All is all it's not as bad as it was...I turned off signatures and it made it infinitely better...does anyone have them on, how's it look now, any changes?

Yup I wondered, that is a good point...but then I wonder why not a smaller banner under it with the links.

But again these are just my preferences as I still find going between categories to be the 2nd most annoying thing I do here...with the 1st being the insta-scroll down from the huge band photo.

If you’re on an iPhone, you can go onto the site and use the “hide distracting items” feature to get it gone!

Thanks...its a desktop that concerns me more...but I did not know about that feature on the phone and just used it!  Appreciate it.

Good points, Cincy.  The orange picture is a nuisance at best. And all the other orange stuff here. I'm sick of orange.  Anyway, that big glaring image is not a great image, it's the first thing you see here and is a bit obnoxious, and it looks AI to me. Same thing with the pearly Pearl Jam bar at the top.  It's kind of an eye sore.  

How do you turn off signatures?  I think that would help clear up some of the clutter.  

Also, having two scroll bars on the same page its awful.  I've always found it super irritating when web pages do that.

i've got sigs on and it isn't that bad. i hardly even notice them, just have to scroll a little to get to the next post if people have a larger signature field.
