I remember when I moved to the east end of Toronto (to a house in a cul-de-sac) I couldn't sleep for a few nights. It was like falling asleep in a cemetery.mcgruff10 said:I can't sleep in silence; I have two fans going and a white noise machine. It sucks when the power goes out.#Grievance20250 -
In the winter months he's mostly in California.Lost In Ohio said:Benglish said:
It was mixed messaging to me. He did say that, but he also said he was in the warehouse playing guitar. It begs the question- Would Mike be at the warehouse alone just jamming on the guitar without any of the other guys? Hard to make heads or tails of it.Shaindli1 said:Dunno if y'all watched the cute Happy Birthday video from Mike to Jeff (on PJ's socials) but he explicitly says "can't wait to make more music with you and hang out again," which I read as they haven't done so in who knows how long.
Mike lives full-time in Seattle, IIRC. I believe Jeff likes to escape to Montana when he's not in "Pearl Jam mode".#Grievance20250 -

If by some kind of miracle the band decides to play live shows this year, this thread is going to snap right back on track.Zen23 said:
It's too late for that. You'll have to wait until the Official 2027 Tour Rumor Thread.verceman said:
Thank you for trying to get this thread back on trackShaindli1 said:Dunno if y'all watched the cute Happy Birthday video from Mike to Jeff (on PJ's socials) but he explicitly says "can't wait to make more music with you and hang out again," which I read as they haven't done so in who knows how long.Hard to imagine. After the past 117 pages, it's almost impossible to steer this topic back on track. Especially when you consider that it's only mid-March. 67 pages with 1,340 posts this year alone. If this continues, by the middle of the year we will have reached around 4,440 posts, together with those from last year. By that time, the Official 2027 Tour Rumor Thread will already be open. And all because people have forgotten how to enjoy silence.

Dang, i missed out on the Billy Strings discourse.
Thats my next major shows as I have tickets to all 3 nights in St. Aug this coming easter weekend. I also have tickets to his festival in Ionia, Michigan on my birthday in August. I also plan to go to 3 more shows he's "semi" announced, but not on sale as of yet. I'll be at 21 Billy shows total by the end of this year.
I find Billy to be the sweetest spot I ever found so far when it comes to my love of live music. He's always giving back to his fans and keeping things interesting year after year. His trajectory continues to only move upward, and for good reason. The canvas he and his music are creating in a world of cookie cutter modernist bullshit is equal parts thrilling and inspiring to be living through at this moment in time.
And so far, he's kept it pretty affordable and chooses not to do dealings with LiveNation and generally doesn't use Ticket Master if he doesn't have to. Tickets have started to sell out for most of his shows no matter what venue he announces, but his counter to this is usually to add more days in markets that have proven to do well for him, even playing the aforementioned St. Aug Amphitheater for 6 nights over 2 weekends. He sold all 6 shows at the 4,500 seat amp out and didn't once repeat a song.
I know Billy is about 30 years younger than most of the members of PJ, but if you've been on the fence about seeing him or don't think bluegrass is your thing and you can get a ticket to one of his upcoming shows: go. I work in the music industry and I yearly see 50-60 concerts I wouldn't normally pay for. Billy is one of the few artists I've seen who keeps peoples attention for hours. No phones in the air. No autopilot while he's on stage. Its worth it, I promise.
Here he is playing "Alive" on lead ELECTRIC guitar while ALSO singing it while ALSO dressed as the Universal "Wolf Man" during his Halloween run last year:

I mean come on?!
Sorry to derail the thread even more, but it is true that there are other artists out there of all ages and demographics who take charge of their creative reigns. Not saying Pearl Jam don't, it's what we all love about them. But it isn't just limited to PJ. Take a chance, Columbus did!
I also missed the Metallica discourse, and against my own judgement, a friend was able to pick me up a $1,400 early entry for both nights of the first weekend of November... I saw Kenny Chesney at the Sphere last summer (not my first choice.... trust me...) and I promised myself I'd come back if one of my favorite bands played... Didn't realize I was going to have to pay "down-payment" money to do that!
I'll probably buy an Atlanta GNR ticket when those prices inevitably come down as well...
Anyway, thanks for letting me rant.
Hope PJ is enjoying their rest!Post edited by SandyRavage on0 -

I'm currently in south JAX and hoping to make it to those St Augustine shows (didn't know I'd be down here when they were announced). Hopefully I'll see you there!SandyRavage said:Dang, i missed out on the Billy Strings discourse.
