I was just taking a look at the "My Show Map" feature on the website with this year's shows added to it. While doing so, I noticed something interesting about that big body of water southeast of North America. I can't imagine anyone affiliated with Pearl Jam purposely changing the name to Gulf of America, but was a bit bummed to see what has been affiliated with the current administration seeped into my PJ website experience.

            Probably just an oversight.
Google Maps has it, others do not
I imagine they'll probably change it now since you made them aware

I think the My Maps option is somehow tied in with Google Maps and since that's the name Google uses, that's what appears.
I enjoy the My Maps feature overall. Just trying to figure out how one of my Atlanta shows has the pin located in Seattle.

I did my map and the London July 9, 2022 show I went to was apparently located in Seattle at the Zema Bar and Restaurant. I had no idea. 0 0

One of my Atlanta shows also puts me in Seattle as well. I agree that it's probably just an oversight and obviously the map is not perfect. I do enjoy the map feature as well though. I saw someone post on Facebook that they took a screen shot of it with their list of shows underneath and had it printed out. I was thinking of doing the same thing but don't want something as ridiculous as the Gulf of America on my wall at home haha. I'll wait and hope that it changes back at some point. Just thought it was interestingPost edited by I need the light on2007 Lollapalooza

Haha. My Seattle location is at the El Corazon live music venue - so plausible.JeBurkhardt said:I did my map and the London July 9, 2022 show I went to was apparently located in Seattle at the Zema Bar and Restaurant. I had no idea. Is a Compliment For You. Is a Compliment For You.

The restaurant is right next door to the El Corazon, so it is possible it could be indicating there instead of the restaurant. Either way, it is a looooong way from London.A Compliment For Us said:

the band does not own mapping software, this is Google's mapping software as is clearly shown.I need the light said:I was just taking a look at the "My Show Map" feature on the website with this year's shows added to it. Fyi - if you type in Gulf of Mexico on google or apple maps, you can “report an issue” when Gulf of America shows up. Let them know they have the name wrong.PA0

Yeah I didn’t notice that. I don’t use google maps that often or GPS really. Still have a road map in the car for long trips and generally know where to go on a day to day basis. Gotta get with the times I guessPB11041 said:

Good thinking. Just looked at Apple Maps on my phone and see that they also show it as Gulf of America.
