    "If you don’t have any borders, you don’t have a nation," Sanders, a Vermont independent who caucuses with the Democratic Party, said on The Tim Dillon Show on Wednesday. "Trump did a better job. I don’t like Trump, but we should have a secure border. It ain’t that hard to do. Biden didn't do it."

    There were large cities overrun during the Biden years with undocumented immigrants which was so bad, Biden was forced to employ an emergency EO in his last year.

    It is true we haven't had an "open border" based on a strict definition of the word.
    But I think most people who say "open border" realize that. What they mean is we've has loose regulations and haven't enforced immigration laws in decades. Basically, once you've made it over the border, you're home free. You can live wherever you want, enroll your kids into the school system, drive a car, etc, without any fear of ever being deported. I don't think there is another country in the world that had the same relaxed regulations that we've had. I wouldn't expect to illegally reside in a foreign country and get the same level of services illegal immigrants get here. What would happen if I moved to Canada without filing any paperwork and tried to enroll my kids into school and sign them up for free lunch programs?
    Although it did spike under Biden, illegal immigration has been an issue my entire life and no one has seemed to do much about it.
