    OMG I took a sitting break during Wishlist (my only one of the show) and didn't notice this at all. Oh well, at least we made friends along the way. And that Stat Tracker App will falsely say that we saw it. (lol)

    So Rob was more of a metal guy. PJ wasnt really on his radar until we hooked back up and I showed him what he missed. He took to it, and played shows off youtube often.

    Hw found the Lexington 2003 show. Immortality was a atand out, particularly the solo.

    Was in rotation this run so not really a "special" , but they played it last night
    and it was fantastic. 

    So I'll accept that as the tribute to him.

    now that some element has seen the live show, hope for a future performance?

    when he started talking about Jill, teasing future days,  I knew it was a no go.

    Hellava show, set crowd , experience.

    Since I have to assume that the band was made aware of this request, I think it's safe to say that is very unlikely that they will ever perform this song. I know the conventional wisdom is that they have avoided it because it's too emotional, but I don't think that's what's going on. After all, they performed "Hunger Strike" on the anniversary of Chris Cornell's death. I'm sure that was very emotional for them.* I just think that "Comes Then Goes" is a long, complicated song with an awful lot of words, and it's very unlikely that Ed remembers them since it's very possible the last time he sang them was when he recorded the vocals six years ago. It's not clear who plays guitar on the song but, if it's Ed, it would be a really heavy lift for him to play that part and sing all of those lyrics without messing them up. (Sure, he could use notes or a prompter.) It would take a lot of practice, and I'm not sure that's something he's up for at this point.

    Anyway, condolences on the loss of your friend, and I'm glad you had a meaningful and fun experience last night even though you didn't get your request granted.
