Merch sizing?

What is the deal with PJ merch and the sizing? I’m normally 2xl or even an xl in some items depending on the brand. But I have some PJ stuff that are 3xl and can barely fit into them. It makes no sense how they’re sizing on some of the clothing items they sell. 

Ok rant over. I can’t wait until 4/24.

    I personally wear a size S, but my boys prefer looser clothes, so I ordered a size L for both of them. The PJ long-sleeve shirt (black with the Pearl Jam logo) fits true to size S, but the size L is much too long...

    Lets not forget the shrinkage...  I buy PJ shirts at least a size bigger than my usual size as they never stay the size you bought for long
