The fact that it is a rehashed image ruins it for me. Surprised the band let that one slip through.

agreed, feels more like his signature than a PJ poster

I'll be so happy when I can leave this thread hahaha. Staying for now to get any updates and info I need, but looking forward to not hearing the constant bitching about the designs.

I mean, that just seems kinda lazy, no? You get asked by a big name bad to do a poster for them. A band with a long history and fans who are known to go crazy over posters. And all you can come up with is just redoing an image you've done a bunch before, slapping it on a 18'X24' and writing the band name, venue name, city, and date?
Maybe that's his thing and he wanted a chance to have that image on a PJ poster. But put a tiny bit of effort into it. Yikes.
This has gotta be the worst run of your posters potentially ever. But when the merch guys are making tokens for 25 cents and selling them out (almost immediately) at $5 a pop, I doubt the band cares.
All I really need from tonight is a sticker. And I can't really justify dealing with all the merch madness just for a $2 sticker. If anyone can grab me one, I'll buy you a beer. That's a 900% return on your investment.

I think the issue is Tsurt has used all local artists this time, apart from Ames and Kevin Tong (who is an established Alternative Movie Poster artist) who unsurprisingly had the two best posters. Hardly any of these have done concert posters before. For me the solution is simple, just go back to using mainly established poster artists. You can see it works from last year. Australia and NZ had the best posters and they had a higher number of established poster artists (Ken Taylor, Ben Brown, Rhys Cooper, Bella Grace, Travis Price etc). It also impacted the Euro tour posters last year as well. Apart from London and Dublin, mainly local artists were used.
Disappointed in the poster and the lack of effort. These things are precious and while art is subjective, hitting Copy/Paste and then asking for $45 is insulting. I wondered if the Nashville posters might lean too far into a cowboy theme. Boy was I wrong. I have posters from every show I’ve attended until tonight.
It did just free up my day though. And I saved about $100 by the time it’s framed.

That FL Night 1 poster is looking better and better with every show.
