    "If " this gets approved it would be years before they tear down the Garden as they would have to build the new arena across the street first. And this is New York building anything takes years and most of the people and bands named would probably like me be dead by then.

    Yes… article said it would be 11 years for everything to be done.

    Yep. Billy Joel is already falling down during his shows.  I don't imagine he'll be in prime headlining form if and when the Garden goes bye bye.  

    He could Pull a Phil Collins and perform from a chair?
