Warning-LONG EMBARRASSING POST 😂

I have been a PJ fan since ‘91 in college and (embarrassingly) didn’t know about 10c until 2016. That’s right. All those wasted years of good concert tickets, free 7” and t-shirts, a Life Wasted, if you will.
Once I became partially enlightened I joined the club and got tickets to my first real
show and first show with my husband-Seattle Home Show 2018, night 2-EPIC!!!
Several years went by with tickets purchased and shows missed due to caring for my Dad. Haven’t gone to a show since.
Still didn’t really know about the forum.
Last year was pretty much the year from hell. Personal mental health decline and physical issues. Just as I was able to get my head above water, I had to admit my son to hospital for his own mental health-he has always been my very stable child. (He is sooo much better now! 💕)
In order to be there for him I turned inward and to PJ, again. I also FINALLY found the forum. I decided to read and not say anything for a while, then started posting as if I had always been here, hoping no one would notice me. Forgive my lameness please. I was definitely in a bad place.
I have been listening to PJ and SG nonstop since last September.
i ditched most social media last fall from all the massively toxic BS. I find (most) 😂 people here to be kind and helpful and we all (mostly) love PJ. This has been my safe place.
To everyone who didn’t treat me weirdly for acting like I’d always been here, thank you. I truly appreciate you.
I appreciate everyone here in the club and yes, I appreciate PJ for once again saving my life. Hope to meet some of you in Pittsburgh.

As a friend of mine once said, end awkward post here.

I’m about one year into Ten Club, even newer to the forum, after being a fan since I was 16 back in ‘92. (My awkward profile pic is me in ‘92 with PJ posters adorning my bedroom door 😄)

I look now at the Ten Club address on the original Ten album and kick myself for not paying more attention and joining in the early 90s. Totally slept on Ten Club somehow, but glad to finally remedy that 3+ decades later.

I, like you, have found so much kindness here. The PJ community is really good quality family. 🙂

My (and my husband’s) first shows were Wrigley 2024 N1 on 8/29 and Baltimore 9/12. I completely understand how easily we transform into rabid fans after a live show. Jesus. 🥵 Just beyond. Beyond. Beyond. Can’t believe I missed 3 decades of them live, but we’re making up for it now.

Hoping for summer/fall dates, but also eyeballing Atlanta as our next show. Somewhat similar to you, my husband and I oversee our parent’s care now, and it can be a lot sometimes, but this has been a soft place to land time and again.

Much love to you, and hope to connect at a show someday too! Glad your son is well! ❤️

Yes! So hard not to spend my time rehashing past regrets 😂 All those shows in the 90s that I should have been at. All the shows in the ‘00s when we were raising kids and working. I lived in the Bay Area. I could have been going to the Bridge Benefit shows 🤦‍♀️. I could kick myself. I moved to Seattle in 93 because of PJ and still didn’t see them until SF ‘95. I didn’t know who to ask or where to go. Oh well! I guess I should live in the Present Tense and enjoy 2025!!!
Also, I will never regret taking care of my pops. I am grateful for the time we had together before he died. I didn’t get that time with mum before she died when I was 21. Let’s rock 2025 with PJ in their 35th year!!!

THA K YOU FOR THE WELCOMES EVERYONE!!! 🥰♥️

Nice! My husband and I lived in San Francisco from 2014-2021. Def a lot of missed opportunity for shows there and the surrounding area too. But as you say — PRESENT TENSE! 😄😄😄😄 And agree — the time now spent with our remaining parents (me, mom; husband, dad) is precious. I don’t take it for granted at all.

Welcome.  I remember the first day I discovered the forum, unfortunately, it was 9/11/2001. That is a story I have already shared and don't wish to do again.  I had been a PJ fan prior and had seen them live but the website was new to me.  Anyway, this place has provided me lifelong friends whom I will always cherish.  Enjoy your time here.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
