How long after the shows were the 2000 boots in stores?

It was only a couple of months, I think. The Cardiff show was in June, and I remember ordering the CD not long after I started working in HMV (UK music store) in the September.

I actually ended up ordering the entire tour and blowing all of my staff discount!

Europe Bootlegs Released: September 26, 2000
North America Leg 1 Bootlegs Released: February 27, 2001
North America Leg 2 Bootlegs Released: March 27, 2001

That fall 2000 was a great time. Had just got my first real job, so I ended up buying all of the Euro bootlegs. Buying more when I ran out of fresh ones to listen to. They were widely available in record stores over here. The US legs not that much. One local record store asked me for recommendations on which ones to order for the 2nd leg. I think I marked about 16-18 on their list. When they arrived, I eneded up buying them all. They gave a pretty good discount too.

I bought a few when I stumbled upon them in a record store, when they were trying to get rid of them for $6 a piece.

I might have bought the Stockholm one before for full price (had not gone to the concert though).

They were up for a good while i think, whereas the 2003 releases were time limited and were much more limited which probably explains why they are rarer items

Ah I miss the days when Sam The Record Man on Barrington Street here would sell many, many of those 2000 Bootlegs. Some even made the hit chart.

I didn't realize the 2003 boots were rarer than 2000. Good to know. I have the complete sets for both of them just stored away. No idea why I haven't sold them at this point.

I think 2003 boots were 10c exclusive for the most part too, save a few (5 or 6) notable releases to retail. All the 2000s could be had pretty easily in shops for while here in the uk.

First bootlegs I saw were the Japan and Australian 2003 shows. I remember buying one from each leg, and then I saw all three Jones Beach 2000 shows and got them. The difference in how they sounded between the two tours hit me

What was the difference to you?
