Yeah but our billionaire actually cares for people...
That's not my point. Sure, he's probably better than Trump and Musk, but also, not someone I want running the country. We should be looking at Governors and Senators, you know, people with political experience who could lead the country and represent us on the world stage. The problem seems to be though that many states are electing local celebrities/rich people or people based on looks and not expertise or experience.

On one side people are chanting for the removal of DEI because it should be about merit and experience while then appointing/hiring people based on whether they like them or they're "loyal". It's as if they only want to end DEI because it interferes with cronyism.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I get it...but that doesn't seem to work for us. I think Gavin Newsom would be great but the GOP mud machine has probably damaged him too much.

Cuban is a philanthropist and his pharmacy company clearly doesn't have much of a profit motive. He's using his wealth to serve which is refreshing.

Maybe the ex-wives of the billionaires can run? MacKenzie Scott for POTUS and then one of the other one's who basically donated all their ex's wealth to charity. Fuck those tech bros.

2028 šŸ˜‚ maybe just maybe if Democrats can somehow win both houses in 26 then I’ll talk 28! As of now I’d say 28 is already in the bag for Musk to win reelectionĀ
I think it will be a while before we see a 2 in a row term same party president. Ā People are going to be unhappy and vote another way next election, and then again the following. Just like the last 3.Ā

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, free and "fair" elections? Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! From Letter From An American:

The current administration’s actions strengthen the hand of foreign nations, especially China, against the U.S. Yesterday, Pam Bondi, Trump’s second choice for attorney general—the first had to withdraw after the House Ethics Committee drew attention to his drug use and sexual behavior—took the oath of office.

Today, Bondi disbanded the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) and cut back enforcement of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Then-director of the FBI Christopher Wray established FITF in 2017 to stop countries like Russia and China from interfering with American politics, as Russia had done in 2016 to help elect Trump. FARA required anyone accepting money from a foreign government to declare that connection, and was key in helping law enforcement agencies to dismantle foreign influence operations. Trump’s 2016 campaign manager Paul Manafort, for example, pleaded guilty to violating FARA when he didn’t disclose that he was being paid by those linked to the Russian government. (In December 2020, before he left office, Trump pardoned Manafort.)

Prioritizing human smuggling and drug cartels, the Justice Department under Bondi is scaling back white-collar crimes like bribery of foreign officials, kleptocracy, and money laundering. In the past few years, the Justice Department has recovered yachts, planes, and real estate from Russians sanctioned because of the attack on Ukraine. ā€œTaken together these changes are an invitation to foreign actors to interfere in American affairs,ā€ Aaron Zelinsky, a former national security prosecutor for the Justice Department, told Ben Penn of Bloomberg Law. ā€œEven worse, it’s an invitation to Americans to help them do it.ā€

Hilarious that you think there will be ā€œfree and fairā€ elections again.
Do you accept the 2024 election as legitimate?Ā  I would be shocked if you said no based on the narrative that the country will crumble and democracy will cease to exist if you don't think so.

Yes, to answer your question. But 2024 is not 2028.

We are doing brunch, Max. But I would gladly pass the Freedom Toast if you’d like?
