No. I will keep selling used books and records until I'm fini. In fact, if I won the lottery, I would continue to sell used books and records. I can't fathom the idea of saying, "I don't have a job."

That's really cool @brianlux as it sounds like you love your job! I love books and records, do you sit and read and listen all day when you are not selling anything? There's a show in England called Black Books which is really funny, with Dylan Moran. Happy New Year btw Mate xxx

Yes. I went from operating multiple restaurants to a real estate broker. It’s been the worst year for realtors since 1993 so I’ve burned through so much cash. Time to make a change in 2025 yet again

Reading and listening to music are certainly high on my list of favorite things to do, Purple Fairy Tree. I miss being a part of a brick and mortar store (I was a member of a book co-op in Grass Valley for four years and worked with my wife at her used bookstore, The Bookery in Placerville, for almost 20 years), but I still manage the record section at The Bookery and have my little on-line bookstore though Biblio, so I keep busy enough these days.
Always nice to meet a fellow book and record fan!
Cheers and Happy New Year!
Brian

ummm, no. Am a high school drop out with a GED . Working for an excellent and well run company that treats its employees well. I make a lower 6 figure income doing a job I've taken far less for. Am home every day. Driving similar miles to over the road guys making twice as much as a company driver does or more.
Would be fucking stupid to change jobs.
frankly I'm incredibly blessed, given how my whole life has unfolded to be where I'm at in a job I've wanted to do since I'm a little kid.
its only work when theres bad weather. otherwise its a nightly sunday drive.

I'm hoping so. I took a risk and changed careers after 20 years in 2024. Toxic director. But this job hasn't turned out the way I had hoped. Still better than the previous but it needs improvement. Hope to make another change this year.
