It's been said plenty of times, but I'll say it again: yes, premium is taking away good seats from 10c members. But I really believe it's the band not touring as much that's making tickets harder to get (unless you live in CA haha). An area, such as the Midwest, used to get several shows. Now there's just Chicago most of the time.

People are realizing the scarcity of shows + who knows how many good years they have left and you get more ppl gutted and losing out on shows.

    That first part.

It's the scarcity of shows plus the fact that people are using their vacation time/money for Pearl Jam instead of going to the beach, Disney, skiing, etc.

They also generally announce each leg individually. There probably will be other shows this year, but...we just don't know at this time. This causes Europeans, South Americans and others to all try for a venue with 7,000 seats instead of even just a little tease "more shows for 2025 announced soon."

What'd be BEST is if they announced the entire year all up front, but they don't do that. People in/near 10-15 major European cities wouldn't be tempted to try for Raleigh and Pittsburgh.

It’s a turn off to me that this band is so tied at the hip with TM I don’t want no part of it!
they've been using TM for 29 years straight now! Where you been? Only took a couple years off from TM around 94-95

It is not an issue that PJ uses TM, they really have no choice as TM has a monopoly. What is rubbing people the wrong way is that the band is complicit in TM's more recent selling strategy and dynamic pricing model. Fans are paying more and 10C members are not getting the best seats anymore. The best side seats that used to go to the 10C are now being sold to the highest bidder. Good luck to everyone!
The alternative to PJ Premium would be that every ticket in the house increases by $50 or so (however the math works out).  The band (and everyone they pay) and TM have to make their money; they don't work for free.  People are already complaining that tickets are $185 each.  As someone who used to always be in the first wing section and now either gets pushed back or is stuck behind the finance bros who pay for PJ Premium, I understand ad feel the animosity towards it, but the alternative would be expensive for everyone.

Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

Different strokes, etc. I would take first row behind the pit over any side loge seat all day.
Good for you...I could see and was close to band which would not happen on floor behind pit
You can actually see very well from the first row behind the pit. I had those seats for Vancouver 2. There is a gap between the floor seats and the pit. You also have the barrier to lean on and use as leverage.
    Duh.... not my first rodeo

What's up with ONLY being able to pick just 5 Shows?

It wouldn't be so bad if we knew what we scored with the 10C, before the TM Artist Presale closed.

I hadn't even noticed that limit. I am really glad they didn't have a limit in place last year.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

It is not about working for free. It is about a monopoly taking away the best seats from the 10C and auctioning them off. $50 more will not cover the difference.  Maybe the band has reached an age where it is just business. I'm ok with that. I am not ok with the best seats going to "finance bros" just because they pay more than the fan club members.

I kind-of-sort-of noticed when I read the email, but I wasn't %100 sure, until I went on TM to select the shows I wanted, and when I got to show 6 It wasn't letting me select the 6th show.

It would've been nice if we got 24-48 after we were notified about 10C seats? Then we could go to TM and Select the shows we didn't win?
  • Personally, I'm just thrilled to still be able to see a band that I grew up with still playing live shows. Nosebleed seats or not, I'm just happy to get in the venue to see Pearl Jam live.

  • They were just talking about shows going on sale local tv station.
  • My daughter and I will just be happy to be in the building with reasonably priced tickets. We have our fingers crossed.

Yeah, I agree it’s not possible. Member since 1995 and my seats are very consistent.

Same here.  Member 80XXX and I've never gotten anything worse than lower levels, maybe 2 sections back from the stage.

Admittedly, I miss Ye Olde Dayes when my # got me first 10 rows at worst!

But within the GA era, I've still had what most people view as very good seats.

I agree that these dribs and drabs "tours" make it tougher to get tickets period than it was 10+ years ago.

PJ doesn't embark on 3-month+ tours that cross the whole US anymore, and given the nature of the fanbase, that means more competition for these smattering of shows since so many of us will travel.

Are you sure you did the 10c presale? There wasn’t a limit other than 2 tickets for each show.

It wasn't 10C it was TM (Ticketmaster).

    Then honestly what’s the problem?
You aren’t getting tickets to more than 1 show through the TM presale

I didn't do any sale. That's why I didn't pay attention to the details.

  • When Pearl Jam came last time to Nashville in 2022 I never saw the "dynamic price changes."  There were just some priced higher than others.  Is this something new within the last tour?
