Now that hes solidly back in the conversation, I'm being reminded in articles how ineffective so much of the governance was in the first term. this is not to minimize the truly damaging stuff or whatever successes he did have, but its funny to remember he always surrounds himself with dummies who keep on stepping on rakes.

Oh so we're no longer promising deflation and therefore explicitly a major recession?  How comforting.  This must be confusing for our local sycophants.

I’m still waiting for them to throw their markers down. So far we have:

    1. POOTWH on the cover of Time magazine.

    2. Chris Wray resigning as head of the FBI.

Both of which will tame inflation, lower the price of eggs, raise wages, increase GDP and lower unemployment.

Sucks for all the people who actually believed he was going to reduce prices, it’ll be even more of a shock when they increase. This is what they voted for though, broken promises before he even takes office. But don’t worry, Elon’s net worth passed 400B as he manipulates the orange clown so I’m sure he’ll be just fine.

How long will it take for the Trumpies to figure out that they elected plutocrats to take on what they thought were plutocrats?  Do you get any more elitist than Trump or Musk?  Give me a fucking break.

They won’t. Because it’s not about the details and specifics of governance. Trump/Musk/etc hate the same people MAGA hates. And it’s not about policy, it’s about trolling nbd making their perceived enemies miserable and a culture war is all their small brains can handle.

Well...maybe the question is not how long it will take for them to figure it out but, rather, do they actually realize it but just don't care and/or won't admit it because of what you're saying in your second sentence here?

I mean, we all saw how so many of the maga's in here refused to acknowledge simple questions regarding simple things like inflation during the campaign right? Leads me to believe a lot of them are knowingly voting against their own interests but just don't care because they think they're owning the libs or something.........and this would be peak stupidity, of course. maga!

They also forget that soldiers died on his watch.

Bezos sucking up some more with donation to Trump's inauguration. His donations are comical next to Musk's, who is his main rival on the tech billionaire spectrum. Such a douche, but these guys all know how to gain influence in our new plutocracy.

In addition to admitting he can't really drive down grocery prices, didn't he also say he was not going to do much about the trans bathroom stuff this week? Lol. The fucking guy spent MILLIONS on commercials on that fucking issue nonstop in PA during the campaign.

Just talked to a guy with a 1.99% rate on his mortgage and I was telling him he could maybe take a home equity loan if need be, if he understandably didn't want to lose that rate. He ended up declining.

At the end of the call he goes "If you ever have rates around 1.99 let me know." I jokingly said "Yeah, sure, fingers crossed we wind up in another pandemic so rates get that low again" to which he replies (either not getting my joke or not hearing the pandemic part) "Yeah let's go Trump! He'll get 'em down!"

Reminded me of what we talked about yesterday. Does he realize he has an all time low rate because we were in a massive recession during the pandemic and fed had no choice but to bottom out rates across the board to stimulate the economy? Or does he think Trump magically did something himself to get rates that low and things were just great at that time?

It's just unreal. Complete ignorance and I don't know how we dig out of it.

My opinion is that trump is such an unusual character that he's a one time disease. We just have to let the disease take its course and we'll be ok.

I get the same stupidity all the time regarding income tax...the number of times I have had to explain that we are operating under trump's tax package is mind blowing. "I just feel like I paid less taxes under trump"...."I just feel like it was easier to run a business under trump"....fucking dumbass shit

oh yeah....and I've told the story here before. A guy that has an auto repair business who has steadily improved each year for the last 15 years just keeps having the best year of his career but will say "I don't expect next year to be this good because of Biden, Obama, etc."...yet it continues. He's just a great mechanic. Has nothing to do with the White House

Holy shit....I just realized he got his mortgage in July of 2021. LOL. Fucking idiots.

There is no talking any sense into these people. At all. It's unbelievable.

And unless Trump lands us in a massive recession, the price of everything will increase over the next few years but I bet they will INSIST otherwise.
