Melania Trump is not expected to attend the traditional White House meeting with first lady Jill Biden, sources familiar with her plans said.
It’s a decision that underscores Melania Trump’s long-held willingness to buck tradition as she prepares to retake the high-profile – but unelected – role of first lady, one with no manual and an automatic global platform.
The sources cited a prior scheduling conflict for the former first lady related to her newly released memoir. One source said the decision had not been finalized.

With the way the votes have been rolling it. I wouldn't consider it a landslide. They kept saying it would be close and thats what it is. Its looking like 2% lead in the popular vote.

He swept all swing states, won control over the House, Senate, and Presidency.  He cut his previous 2020 deficits in all the blue states.  For example he only lost NJ by 5, Illinois was single digits, NY state deficit was cut in half as well as California.  There has been a shift in the electorate and dems still can’t understand why.  People are sick of being ignored.  Trumpism has given us a voice.

All true, but…if approximately one percent flip their votes next time in ONLY three states, you will welcoming the democrats back to the White House.

congrats on the win, but this is the problem with trump voters. They care more about winning than they do about helping the country.

You can actually tie Stephen Miller to white nationalist thought which makes him one of the most pernicious members of Trump's inner circle. This is a lesson in crying wolf. When you're running around calling everyone to the right of AOC a racist or Nazi, it obscures the actual wolves.

I mean, theres Trumpism in a nutshell. Nothing to do with governance, just making sure the people you don't like are owned and they know it.

Its a beaten dog mentality. Now they only know how to bite.

It is not just the problem with Trump voters. It is a problem with all voters in the middle. And, both sides care more about winning than helping the country. That is what US politics has come to, at every level. Win the middle win the election. Even for town council.

People would have voted for Trump even if he heiled during his rallies instead of dancing to YMCA. And Ben Shapiro would defend it with his kippah on.

And, you know, why didn't Trump have the great nazi generals as Hitler got?

Some useful words in the age of the Felon:

    Anger is an energy.
Don’t view anger negatively, don’t deny it – use it to be creative.
There’s always hope’, and that you don’t always have to resort to violence to resolve an issue. Anger doesn’t necessarily equate directly to violence. Violence very rarely resolves anything.
Using that supposedly negative energy called anger, it can take just one positive move to change things for the better.
    Anger is an energy. Unstoppable.

It's odd that US media didn't give much cover to the nude photos that Russia was posting to congratulate trump upon victory. Pretty humiliating.

it's laughable that trump and his supporters think that putin wants him in power becuase he admires him in some way. he's easily manipulated and controllable. and they do shit like that out in the open to humiliate him, and he does nothing/thinks it's a compliment. the US is a laughing stock

Whether Ukraine is entitled to their boarders before the Russian invasion. Chocolatetide was very adamant that Ukraine turned down a deal with Russia to end the war (sourced from a Russian state news agency) and his thought was that they were foolish to turn it down.

What is encouraging to me (even though it killed Harris' campaign) is that there is a large group of voters that really aren't beholden to either party. If trump doesn't deliver then they could be back. It's due to low information but the left will need to benefit from it as well if they ever want to win an election again.
I predict the dems will win in 2028 or 2032. Look back at the last 100 years, it's uncommon for a party to win more than 3 election terms in a row, there is a lot of back and forth. It's not over for anyone. And the country is more evenly split that what we always hear.
I keep hearing trump won in a "landslide." But it depends how you define landslide. If you look at just electoral votes, it does look pretty lopsided. But if you look at the popular vote, he won by 2.5%. Thats hardly a landslide. And when you considered the lopsided electoral outcome and really most of that were the result of swing states by just 2-3%, it really was a close election.
They don't need any major changes. Just distance themselves from th extreme (as both sides should) and put up a better candidate who went through the entire process next time.

I would love to see some strong evidence that there will be another election in 2028.  The Felon has all three branches of the government tied to his wagon.  I sorry to be throwing a major downer into the conversation, but nothing is certain at this point.  We are in precarious times.  This is why it's important for everyone who loves freedom and democracy to not give in to despondency.
You may be the most paranoid individual on the internet.  No election in 2028?  You cannot be serious, brianlux.

And people got sick of the accusation. Enjoy continuing to lose elections if that is the only message you have.  It worked for decades.  It's over now.
