@Santos L. Halper I please beg you put the value very low for us international customers who have to pay double already before the tax or whatever it is when it arrives here. Please
We paid VAT up front, will we get hit again?
I really hope not. VAT is paid so we shouldn’t have to pay any more but it’s impossible to argue with Royal Mail if it does happen for some reason.
I would think it might be duty rather than VAT if listed as over £135 including postage and packing.
You can claim excess back but via the government (Royal Mail collect on their behalf) -

(And the marking as a gift doesn’t work if over £39 in value inc. as the recipient will be asked for the VAT)

I wonder what, if any, special things end up in Europe. It’ll be fun to see that’s for sure!
     😃😃
l loved the small mystery bags they did years ago. Some really cool things popped up for people.

    Ah, good info, thank you.

Mine came to £110 (inc the VAT charged) so hopefully we’re under the limit. But if Santos puts a signed Benny in there he can declare what he likes, haha!

Not necessarily, if the parcel is declared as we have paid for it then it’s under £135 including shipping and tax applied. Wait and see for the moment.

How do the shirts generally fit? Are they typically snug or are they roomy?
  • Its probably a mixed bag given we're covering so many different tours here, but based on anecdotal complaints from this board, they tend to run small. I went with an XXL, can always run it through the wash a few extra times if its a bit big. Better than too small

Also, re: the flippers, generally I'd agree but this is a warehouse sale, they have a ton of shit to move and limiting to one per Ten member isn't gonna clear the shelves. Hopefully the right things end up in the right hands and not on ebay but ultimately, c'est la vie.

You’ve already paid VAT at source. There will be no customs charges as VAT already paid, same as ordering anything from 10c now. Only difference is if the item is worth more than £135/$180, VAT and customs are charged at our border and not at source (eg I got charged by U.K. border force on the JA poster sale but not by 10c). 10c has all these U.K. VAT rules in their Shoppay system. The shipping notice will state the $80 value which we paid and notes VAT already collected.

You will get no duty as the total cost was $142. Needs to be over £135/$180 for it to be charged at U.K. border. If it was over $180 10c’s system would have removed the VAT/Sales Tax as not charged at source over that threshold.
