That must have been a cool moment when Ed said he approved of the choice! As soon as he said there's someone with a sign, I wondered if it might be you. Glad you got it!

Thanks for the support everyone! A magical and unforgettable moment, not helped by idiots behind on either side pushing and fighting and creating a huge security op! Bizarre trying to listen to Ed intro it amongst the chaos! Lucky it’s a long song 🤣
First time ive ever seen Stones side be as rowdy - a few idiots in there tonight for sure 😢

Thank you @Kiwi Jammer ... this show was a cathartic show for me and for band it seems. Setlist expressed most American angst of situation.. esp Why Go and Quick Escape.. but you getting them to play HTI made the night for me. The tears in Ed's eyes at end brought me to tears too. This setlist was carefully chosen and message driven for sure, and HTI fit perfectly.  Glad I was there

Been to 47 shows and felt the same way. We were GC Stones side and moved MULTIPLE times because of idiots. Just because it is GA doesn't give you 10 feet of space to fuck around. TONS of wasted people. Doesn't help when you can get 4 beers per person every time. Between the stumbling drunks and the thousands of cups and trays on the floor it was a real war zone out there.

People around me in the stands were waaaaay too drunk last night and were negatively impacting the show for the rest of us, I'm sad to hear the GC was no better for it since that's where I'll be tomorrow.

Not the biggest fan of Kiwi crowds at gigs eh-in my experience crowds are a lot better behaved elsewhere. Saw a couple of people walking up who were just munted. Ed had to call a couple out.

As an American I was surrounded by nice locals... we were on the rail and except for a drunk couple pushing their way up front was pretty good. I am surprised at how many people got pulled over rail drunk... what a waste of a show.

Unfortunately I’ve seen it a few times at gigs over the years. 2009 I had people around me constantly leaving to get drinks - are you here for the music or for the beers?

however this show was all good where I was. Shout out to Fred and his buddy from Denver - bloody nice chap. Enjoy the rest of your time here!

The idiots around you…did they only push and fight during Hard to Imagine?

Such a gem, LOVE this song.  I got a tip for you to help this song get played.  Stream it on Spotify on repeat.  I mean REALLY repeat it.  I believe they check the Spotify stats in each region to see which songs would be great to put on the setlist.  It helps the more people that stream it.  This is of course for those that live with a couple hundred miles of where the show will be played.

Early this year I had Off He Goes on repeat, for almost 2 days straight.  I live in LA and got it at the LA show, and also at Ohana.

So plug your phone in to the charger and put Hard To Imagine on repeat.

    Hope you get it rock_on
I'm curious, did anyone do this and repeat the song on Spotify?

    I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning

The crowd was pretty standard for a Kiwi stadium crowd, a lot of people here see it as an opportunity to get on the beers.

Hoping Setting Sun makes it back on the set tomorrow, worth having it dropped for HTI!
    Upcoming:
    Auckland 8&10
    Sydney 21&23

I didn’t and although we made lots on of line noise (thank you all!!) and around the venue it seems that it was all down to my sign and Ed seeing it and our pure joy to change setlist

Yeah the timing was so bad, I couldn’t make out everything Ed said to me and didn’t realise it was that personal until a new friend on the rail Mike side send me a full video - thanks Jon!
There were two fights/drunk idiots on either side and security all over us. But I stayed locked in the done as best I could! Luckily it’s a long song so it cleared and I could soak it in!
the drunk idiots are a disgrace to us 😢 the alcohol policy is not helping, but the majority of peeps around us were awesome! Let’s do it all again!

Would have been a great closer but I get why they wanted to find such an uptempo set with RITFW

Mate you are so welcome! Would be cool to meet you and others here, I’ll be somewhere near the front of the queue and may bring along the sign to have more folks sign and yarn in the queue

That sign is awesome, great job @Kiwi Jammer.  Have a great time at the 2nd show everyone.  It would be cool to meet up at a future show for sure.  Hoping for a couple special "PJ35" type shows in 2025.  Those would be amazing.

A setlist gem for Auckland night 2 would be Got To Give.  I'm adding some manifestation in to the universe for that one.  Hope you get it!

If I get there early enough will look for you. Not sure if I will do early tonight.  Just know your HTI made my night and I appreciate you.
I'm gutted at what I saw while having a nice brunch in Mission Bay yesterday and hope tonight's show clears that site out of my memory.
