2022-2024 Tour

I was lucky enough to see the band five times in this span. Got some Gigaton (maybe ne not enough) and a lot of Dark Matter and these shows are some of my favorite ever. Since 98 I've been able to see the band 21 times and in that period the fandom has grown, the setlists have grown and shrank but they've always diversified themselves. Someone on a board this tour said these sets were "weird," and I get what they were saying, they didn't adhere to the "proper" flow and I realized that's what made this tour awesome and the last three years very awesome. Yes, the shows have been shorter but you don't know what's coming and when we did, it was Dark Matter material and I loved it. I went further and realized these songs that are right now "predictable" are going to become super rare. Other than "Wreckage" what is going to be close to frequent? It's a shame but it's the nature of being a legacy act. At some point we're all going to be freaking out when "Waiting for Stevie" gets played and we'll be realizing "React Respond" is gone for good. Man, I look at the St. Louis show from 22 and that setlist is short but it's a phenomal show. Look at the set, the songs, the flow, the breadth of the production they're putting on. The St. Louis show was one of the shortest I've ever been to and othter than the Gigaton songs I'd heard every single song before but the randomness and the songs "missing" made that show awesome. We're lucky to have this band!

St Louis is one of my favorites in past few years..sure Ed dedicated Sad to me but beyond that the crowd was incredible..the setlist was fantastic. SOLAT and Breath back to back had the crowd roaring..and all that on PJs 3rd show in 3 days

I think what blew me away about that show is not that they played Dissidant and Glorified at the same show but the songs they didn’t play: no Jeremy, Better Man, Evolution, Daughter or Given to Fly.

Side note: my brother who had never been thanks joi for Sad, he’d never heard it and looked at me and said: “what the hell was that? That was awesome!”
