Wouldn't have happened if the show sold out in advance.

The only important question for you and SHZA, is have you heard Revelate enough lately from GA!
Seriously..bringing up MLB earlier, they pull in big revenue from their luxury seating. They've always had suites, and now the first 30 or so rows around the infield are now cushioned fancy seating with club access. Brings in big money. Concerts do not have access to as much of this luxury revenue . LN is pushing VIP concert season tickets but it’s nothing like what the major sports are earning.
The math should be easy. PJ told us they need premium prices on10% of the seats to hold ticket prices at or slightly under $200 for the 90%. We also learned this tour that PJ is at a disadvantage over similar bands who have a tier of seating at $100 and under for upper level seating.
So if they look to be competitive with their upper level seating, there are a few options to offset the decrease in that pricing…VIP experience, which they’ve never done, or platinum which has limited “success” with this fan base, or very expensive pricing for the best locations, which hurts the legacy seating model. Not an easy decision. Or just stick to their proven markets, and international shows limit arena headlining dates and stick to festivals as much as possible.
