  • That Can't Keep to Present Tense opener was jaw dropping. Saw CK open Bristow in 2003, brought things full circle. And PT was a personal dream to hear

Amazing-loved it so much. My 17th show and was in awe.
  • Thought Can't Keep and Present Tense were both rusty.
That said, they were both awesome

I'd love those every day of the week.

    Fun show.
The love he receives is the love that is saved
  • Tiny joint.  Peak was Deep.  Fucking crowd was bonkers at the end of that.
    Really fun,thanks BMore!

Show 30 for me, and a really good one. Cant Keep > Present Tense > Given to Fly ruled. First time I've seen Tremor Christ! Through Black, this show was among my favorites I've seen. The rest of the set was fine, but didn't pack the same punch to me (although Baba ruled). Excellent show, well above average of the ones I've seen, and a great first show for a few first-timers I went with.
  • Great show in my hometown! I have to admit it was a little awkward to hear Ed talk about pro choice (which I am) and then go right into Daughter. Other than that, show was amazing!

I think that’s right.  Unique show but a generic ending?  Of course I saw indifference at MSG and was left wanting.
  • really good show... missed opportunity for Mike to end with the National Anthem considering where they were.  show 29 for me....
  • If was a while lot of fun. Band was on fire and great crowd. After the fact I’m sad about the cross offs. But first can’t keep in 10 years is pretty damn cool.

Great show!  Got two of my all time favorites in Present Tense and Unthought Known.  Upper Hand has already joined them in my all time favorites as well. The sound was really good in the building.  Can’t Keep was a welcome surprise.  Show 15 for me and have now heard it twice.  Crowd was great.  Only complaint is as someone who loves DM we only got 4 songs from it.  Would have loved WFS and Setting Sun.  I made 3 shows this year and never got to hear Setting Sun.  I guess it has suddenly turned into a rarity.  It seems like it would make a great closer like it did on the first leg.  So many other positives I could on and on.

Awesome show and my son had a blast.  I need to listen to the boot but I think that was the best version of Black I’ve heard. That main set order/choices were fantastic.

  • I finally got to see Can’t Keep!!

Both bands were incredible. I was blown away by GH’s set, first time seeing him.  And wow, Ed’s voice sounds great right now. Seems like the last few shows I’ve seen Ed had struggled, but not tonight.

  • Thought the band was on fire coming off MSG and Philly but the crowd was lame. Maybe it was just my section? I gave it all my energy in the main set to show the band my appreciation for how hard they were playing. Section 122/123 row L….no one knew any words. People sitting. Some guy threw up and cleared out 2 rows of people. At least 8 people in front of me snuck into GA. Eddie: “looks like the left side is doing better than the right” 💯 Again, band was fantastic

  • Daughter tags/improv:

    “Yes, we need some education,

But we don’t need no thought control.

No dark sarcasm in the classroom.

    Politicians leave our girls alone!

    Judges leave women’s bodies alone!

    Hey, Hey, It’s okay

    Hey, Hey, It’s okay

    Hey, Hey, It’s okay

    It’s gonna be okay

    Vote to make it okay

    Vote to make it okay

    Vote to make it o-kaaaay”

They played Daughter after Ed referenced recent headlines - James Earl Jones’ passing, Taylor Swift’s endorsement of VP Harris, and the new ruling tonight by a North Dakota judge that strikes down their state’s abortion ban. Daughter tags felt heavy. Whole tag played in that haunting ABITW minor key.

  • Shout out to hero fan that gave Jeff an Earl the Pearl jersey (Baltimore Bullets). What a genius gift - he was so happy. Eddie got a matching windbreaker/pullover. They wore them during final encore and bow.

And the band stopped Alive for all the right reasons. GA fan, medical… needed to get out to take a breather. Ed patiently made sure they were okay, said there was no need to apologize, … playfully added that the fan did really great making it that far in the show because he saw way bigger guys in Philly’s GA go down in the opener….

Sorry you found the crowd lame in your section, but it was great and loud and energized in 119 and throughout the building from what I saw.  Set list was excellent, especially Can’t Keep, Tremor Christ, Corduroy and Deep. There’s plenty else I’d love to have heard, but what can you do, it’s one show. My only wish was they followed up Can’t Keep with Save You.  But the band was strong and feeding off the energy from the start. And GH and his band btw got things started right. Great Baltimore show!

Did anyone catch what lyrics that Ed was singing when they played Stranglehold from Ted Nugent?

Definitely seemed more engaging in the back half of the lowers. Front half of the lowers was brutal. Thought the encore was a little short too. Not complaining about the band whatsoever.

  • Crowd was fantastic in 106, loud and moving and singing along, and it looked like that from above viewing the floor which looked energetic. Eddie commented on the energy several times during the show. I wish they'd kept in Setting Sun

I think the problem with setting sun is it doesn’t do well in the spot it’s in. I understand wanting to end with the fan favorite high energy usuals. I think it would work perfectly in the number 2 or 3 spot as it starts slow then builds to that end. It’d be a great transition to the rocking songs like present tense does.

Another great show by the band. They sound so fucking good together right now. They’re just super tight and Eddie’s vocals are on point.

Can’t Keep was a highlight. Can’t believe they opened with that!! Right into Present Tense was great. I’ve missed Spin the Black Circle so that was great to hear as well. And Tremor Christ is a personal favorite of mine so always happy to hear that. Also fucking DEEEP!! Kind of bummed they crossed out River Cross and Setting Sun and one played 4 DM songs but I’ve been lucky enough to see most the album on this tour. Agree with whoever said Upper Hand is making their way as an all time favorite.

I will say that I thought the crowd was very solid. Honestly thought it was better than MSG 1. But man it really makes you realize how amazing and special those two Philly shows were. Absolutely no knock on this Baltimore crowd but it can’t help but feel a little tame and subdued coming off those two Philly shows. Not quite the same energy as the Monday Philly crowd let alone Saturday. I think probably for the best this was my last show of this leg because I think I’d still be chasing those Philly show highs which isn’t realistic.

Overall what an amazing run of shows starting in Chicago. So appreciative of this band and the amazing shows they still put on and surprises they continue to give us!!
  • 17th show, last one b4 this was MSG 2022.  I’m from Pgh, but thought that NYC crowd was on another level.  Last night might have approached that crowd.  Incredible.  Band always brings it but they seemed to just love the venue, crowd, just being there and rocking the f out.

    new songs sounded fucking great.

Cant Keep, PT, GTF, Corduroy just seemed so right.

Jeremy is a personal favorite, and I know we’ve heard it 14 billion times, but I hadn’t heard it in 4-5 shows, it had a ton of fucking energy.

“Judges don’t mess with our girls” (paraphrased) on the Daughter tag, had the hair up on my neck.

no expert, but thought this was a GREAT show.

Crowd was good by me in 121, and seemed to be rocking in most sections. It wasn't "Philly on a Saturday night" crowd, but I think that crowd holds its own with most shows I've seen, including MSG and Boston shows.
  • I don't get the Philly superiority take. I think there is a lot of bias at play there.
