Getting psyched for Fenway — first PJ show! What should a newbie know?

Hi folks of the Ten Club!

Super excited for my first show next Tuesday! (Yes, yes, I know. As someone in his 30’s, this is well overdue!)

At any rate, what should a first-time show goer for a PJ show at Fenway know? Is there places that people go pre-show? What stuff have you savvy vets learned that you wish you knew? Stuff like that. Been to Fenway a million times for games and a handful of other shows, but wanted to get a lay of the PJ land before I go in a week.

Same... and it seems like there's already a thread on some useful Fenway info.

Found that immediately after I posted haha
  • You should make your first show Sunday because you will definitely want a second show after seeing one show and staying in Boston for 2 days is a lot easier than going to Ohana, Australia or New Zealand.

@RS65573, @Johnny Abruzzo and @RatherStarved I would absolutely do this, if I was going to be in town and not for sure heading back from a family thing right around showtime. I’m already well prepared for the PJ live bug to bite hard after Tuesday.

I would just say be in the moment. Enjoy yourself. Don't spend hours in some merch line. Chat with people around you. "What do you want to hear? How many shows for you? Where are you from?" Everyone is pretty friendly. Maybe don't talk shit about Boston sports teams (like me).

Thankfully I work just over the river, so a lunchtime bike ride for merch may be on the menu! Alright sweet! These are great tips, frankly!
