Do I really need a 3rd copy of dark matter?  Bought the 10c edition, but it shipped slow, then I saw the RSD version on RSD so I bought that to spin right away.  I dunno.. this probably saved me from buying a 3rd copy I didn't really need :)

    They oversold by 2!
Those two rejection emails will be worth thousands on ebay.

Just remember that if you order one of the preorders from someone on ebay, you might not get it. Blood will cancel all of their orders if they did not follow the rules. I heard they sometimes cancel orders if you used a VPN. Basically, all the tricks flippers use to screw fans.
But how will Blood Records be able to track down the users who are flipping them? They often put it shipping from a different zipcodes so its not the right location

James Nute ordered 15 LP's. Hopefully they cancel his order and he going to pay back to all this people from the eBay.

It will be OK…nobody needs “everything.”  No reason to carry on about this continuously.

Does any pressing of Dark Matter sound good? This is probably the only thing that should matter with vinyl. Instead, we get upset when we miss out on limited edition variants which cost too much money. How did we get here?

Well I had never heard of a zoetrope record and when I got the email I said that looks kinda cool when it spins but I already have one copy and that's all I need. I had no idea that this was a thing for flippers and I wish PJ wouldn't participate in this crap that just benefits flippers.

The clear version sounds best, IMO. I own the 10C version, clear, and RSD versions. Clear is the "clear" winner!

Apparently Blood Records were never asked about any priority window/exclusivity and wouldn't have offered it anyway.

Yeah I saw that. I thought it was a strange thing that Craig would do in the first place. And I 100% believe him. Ten Club taking members for a ride.

I saw the OP on this thread before the 10C email, clicked through, hesitated for a few seconds, tried to cart and was too late. Refreshed furiously for a minute hoping for a copy to fall out of a cart before suddenly thinking “wait what the fuck am I doing? I already have a copy of this record!” Then I just carried on living my life.

So perhaps somebody at 10C headquarters might care to offer an explanation for this, shall we say, “miscommunication” on their part 🤔

I didnt get one but the 10c did exactly what they promised.   They emailed members 30 minutes before posting it to social media.
It would've been helpful if the email wasn't 6 minutes after it went live on the shop but such is life.

It's 1 of like 16 or 17 variants, you need to record it on your phone to get the effect of the picture disc.  The Missoula and Vegas variants barely had a higher pressing number than this one.  The draw is some guy in the back is tasked with writing a number on it before mailing it.  It will be found if you want it badly enough.

Ah come on now, don’t let them off the hook that easily! :)  The email said Ten Club members would get an “exclusive window”, a complete & utter overstatement.
Why they would feel the need to say “you’re getting a heads up before we talk about it on socials” is beyond me. That offers no real advantage when trying to buy records from a label like Blood, & they were clearly naive to think so.

In conclusion…10C, remember words are important & be more careful next time 👍🏻

If I was 10club. Pearl Jam Co, I would cease and desist the release of those 1000 copies. It's their music. It's their right that they could do what ever they want. If they were not happy with how things went they can stop the release of their copyrighted product. Did they also know there was a no limit policy of the release of their product? But ... we all very much know this won't happen on this release by Blood Records.

It’s tricky. On the one hand, once the dust settled I was kinda glad i didn’t spend $ on another variant I wouldn’t play, no matter how cool it looks.
On the other, at this point unless you live in Chi, Bos or Cali the ticket lottery is of minimal & sporadic use (if you even hit in the lottery), the member items are fewer and purchased a la cart, the newsletters are mostly empty PR, etc. so access to limited stuff like this is most of the value of them membership that went up in price while having less value. So if you can’t count on them for a crack at the rare drops, what exactly am I even paying for anymore?

That’s the million dollar question, WTF are we paying for anymore? Was this supposed to be one of the many “member perks” we were promised?

Oh my God, lol!  I have ALWAYS thought that you were completely out of your mind with all of this merch stuff, but my God…this comment takes the cake.  Pathetic, seriously.  Yep, 10Club, Pearl Jam Co. should do that…then, give all 1,000 copies to you.

Well, that’s not what he was saying at all, but you already knew that when you made your asinine comment.

Fact is, demetrios is just a super fan like so many others here. And he helps a lot of people on this board find things they are looking for. I don’t know how he does it, but he does and a lot of us are grateful for his presence here. God forbid a man has a hobby.

Also, did you know you can block members comments if they bother you so much? Feel free to block me too.

I am always grateful for the heads up on all things Pearl Jam and related Demetrios gives us. It’s not the merch so much anymore as I don’t buy so much but the cool interviews, videos, side projects bits etc. I’ve had a couple of interactions with him on Twitter over the years and he’s always been really friendly. I’m not sure why anyone would need to throw shade. If you don’t agree or like something someone says just scroll on, no need to be name calling. (I am aware that I am not practicing what I preach on this occasion by not letting this one go by)
