Judging by setlists this one was a bit less interesting than N1 but when you’re there it’s a whole other feel. Your seats/section have a lot to do with it. As super fans we are all crazy pumped to hear something like “Down” but the casuals sitting around you up in the bleachers have no clue what that is. They will open their phones, talk or go for a beer. My best advice is to spend whatever extra within reason and get the best-closest seats or floor possible.

My first time experiencing this was Jones Beach N1 in 2000. We drove in that day from Montreal. Super pumped, but with mediocre seats fairly high up. The show was fantastic but the whole night we had people asking us to sit down. It’s really frustrating. (For the record: For N2 we had my 10C seats about 10-12th row and it was the show of my life)
  • I just added this show my 11th to my set list tracker app and it added zero to my unique PJ songs stat.

Bound to happen sooner or later though, right? It was my thirteenth show and other than Falling Slowly and a few from Dark Matter they didn’t play Thursday, there was no new older songs I hadn’t seen live yet (still hoping for I Got Shit one day). I still think night 2 was a livelier show and one of the better Wrigley shows they’ve done.

  • Yes it was bound to happen but I was very surprised how much was repeated at Wrigley 1 that I saw in Indy.

This was my feeling as well.  Plus, I have only been able to go to the night 2 Chicago shows the past 3 times and there is a lot of repeats as well.  I love Smile, but they played it the last 3 N2 times in Chicago.  I would loved to have heard something else from No Code like Hail Hail, Red Mosquito, or Who You Are.  I think the show was great and I enjoyed myself, but for me there was just a lot of repeats between the Indy show and these last N2s in Chicago.

Same here, saw them in Indy and Wrigley N2 and just the repeats are a bit of let down.  It was so great seeing them at Wrigley, it’s just such a new PJ experience.  Oh well. I guess I am more surprised that the band doesn’t want to mix it up more.  I would think they’d get bored of the songs.

I expected about that many repeats. It seems like Scared of Fear, React Respond, Wreckage, Dark matter and Setting Sun were played at every other show before, and I figured Even Flow and Alive would be played both nights.

I'm fine with paring back the set lengths but would rather not have a Glen Hansard cover included after a Glen Hansard opening set
Couldn’t agree more. Such a waste. So many untouched songs ed could easily do solo. Around the bend or can’t keep would be incredible.
100% Can’t Keep on the uke is awesome.
you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane
