Ticketmaster seems to think I'm a bot when I look up MSG tixx. Oh well. I have to act slightly like a grownup, I guess.

Its so easy to stop.  They could easily add a 30 minute exclusive window where the only way to buy f2f is with that link.

So many bands use the fan to fan process, and with so many people on their management teams, and not one of them came up with this idea?

But then you could scalp the tickets and send the buyer the link.

The real problem -- and absurdity -- is Ticketmaster being able to upsell their own tickets.

I meant within the confines of f to f face value exchange that limits the resale price to face value. They can have an exclusive window where the tickets are delayed from appearing on the map/list for 30 minutes and the only way to buy for thirty minutes is thru the link provided to seller. Same exact rules of face value exchange except there is a delay in the tickets appearing except for fans whom the seller wishes to contact, like posting the link here

such a simple and easy fix and no bands are pressuring TM to do this.

for fans that WANT to sell to a broker for profit sure there’s no way to stop that. But I don’t believe thats what is happening here nor in the majority of f to f face value drops. Let’s not think bands don’t have a monetary interest in helping to drive up prices.

For me it comes down to I’m not in front of a computer and I refuse to waste my time constantly refreshing and hoping I catch a pair. Time is valuable. I’d rather shop the secondary market because MOST times you can catch a deal. Even for msg, prices have come down significantly. If I have to pay a little more than face it’s my choice. This system, while the sentiment is nice, is absolute garbage. For me at least.

That I didn't know, granted my only experience there is buying good seats at a decent price for an Orioles game earlier this year.

I agree but prefer to go thru TM premium if possible because I know it’s a real ticket and stub hub has been a mess since they sold it and fans have been having trouble collecting on their guarantees.

The OP here was getting a little bit of shade for using TM to sell transferable tix. I changed topic slightly by pointing out if bands wanted to limit bot activity on the face value exchange they can easily do that.

Ha thanks, it stems back from two things, the obvious being his cameo in singles and the other being that at an old sports place I worked, people would send emails and sign them as former players as a gag (at least the not urgent emails about stuff)
