Jon Tester calls for Biden to step down -> New vibe for Missoula show?

Given Missoula will be PJ's first time back on stage after recent events have happened, and given the bands history of not only openly supporting Montana Senator Jon Tester, but also openly supporting current president Joe Biden, could we possibly see the bands first politically charged setlist in awhile?

I'm not asking them to take a stance on anything thats currently happening, even though we should know by now how they feel. I'm more so asking if they would put their music where their mouth is so to speak. Riot Act songs? Gigaton? Insignificance? W.M.A in full?

I'm sure Ed might be a little more vocal on this night, possibly sporting the 34 jersey once again, but I think if the opportunity ever presented itself to put the music they've written about this type of stuff on display, their previous political stances are staring them right in the face at this particular show...

There are still 34 days until the show, and if the last month is anything to go off of, the whole landscape of the world can change in a couple of minutes.

What is "this stuff"? How many songs have they written about presidents stepping down from being the nominee or not stepping down?

Doesn't necessarily have to be about that in particular, i meant politically charged songs in general

I think Ed learned his lesson at Uniondale 2003. Do not get into specifics and encourage voting in general.

The Missoula show is the last night of the DNC so it should be ironed out by then. If not maybe they could drop a couple songs and break down the polling, etc.

I think they'll open with four songs then play Scared of Fear and then React, Respond and then

Yeah, they didn’t do vote for change in 2004 or multiple Tester benefits , Ed hasn’t played Obama fundraisers or any other get out the vote speeches. Didn’t write a song Can’t Deny Me etc etc etc.

True. But I do not see a setlist being put together to address the political situation as the OP suggests. It will be interesting to see if EV bashes Trump during the shows.

I think the only lesson they learned from Uniondale 2003 is that they were correct and the audience was wrong.

The only way Tester gets elected every 6 years is if he gives Montana republicans some nuggets to pull in just enough to eek out a win. The band knows this as well.

I know Biden isn’t perfect and legitimate concern regarding his age but anyone that would still vote for Trump after last nights wacko speech is beyond me. Forget the felony charges, insurrection, 2x impeached, abuse conviction and lies and hate rhetoric, Trump is a nut.

IMO, dude needs to step down. Have someone else run the Democrat Party.

It's elder abuse what that party is doing.

He's been a political known quantity for 8 years. The people who support him are all in and it says more about them than him.

The only thing thats forcing him to stay in is ego, and the advisors who don't want to lose their jobs. Its more clear every hour, the establishment (but mainly the mega donors and bundlers) would like him to step aside.

It’s what republicans want and they’re counting on JD Vance to carry the torch.

That guys speech was so riveting that Trump fell asleep during his RNC speech. Also we all have access to what Vance said about Trump. Clown Show 24

His approval ratings have been underwater for about as long. And yet Democrats refuse to reckon with why they're still trailing despite that.

No need to worry about the meltdown within the Democratic party since they were exposed to all of America at the debate.

34 felonies, 10 thousands lies and doesn’t believe in democracy. Hell of a candidate. Absolute joke of a person. Just watch his RNC speech, haha.

You can say much about the US election, but the entertainment value is certainly sky high. As sad as that is, I find it hard to root for any of the camps.
The republicans will most likely win this one.

One camp wants to end democracy and is saying it out loud. Trump sucks up to Russia and NK. If you can’t root against that then I can’t help you.
