Cardiff Castle. Saw QOTSA there last year and it was fantastic. The Welsh are due a show as well. Been 24 years!
I was going to say Cardiff Castle aswell. Saw Smashing Pumpkins + Weezer and The National there this summer - great venue. Outside, no seating, city centre. Seems to be max 9000.

Another special venue in the UK is Eden Project. Have always thought it would be a great venue for a PJ or EV show. Again outside, 6000 cap, no seating.

NIN, MCR, Pixies, PJ Harvey, The Who, QOTSA, Incubus among others played there before.

Rangers72, is the grandstand the whole year there!?
If not: a full open air standing area would be possible;) same as in Margate.
Edit: rather not because of all around the management of this Spezial setting - Margate is „already ready / there“

    edit: ;)

It goes up for the Tattoo each year and they put a host of shows on during June/July.Madness were there last night.

Generally means more people have to travel to get there but ticket also includes access to Eden Project that day and next day which is cool. Is a nice part of the UK to visit too.

@ the intercontinental fans: be faster than the
local residents for a Eden Project ticket…

edit: for ANY ticket of the whole tour - I want to see that ticket sales crunch time at TM on screen 😎

England survive their first penalty shootout - yesterday - on the same day this tour was pieced together halfway in less than 12 hours on board here.
    Nothing seems impossible now (somehow)

It seems this will be a road-trip
beginning in London and ending in London plus zigzag inbetween.
How many gigs in London at which venues is still unknown - but Brixton Academy (X) at the end looks not too bad on screen.

    Manchester Central

    capacity: 9,500-12,500

!?!?!? Does anyone know wheather this venue is also used for rock concerts ?

    Edit:
With a total capacity of over 10,000, Manchester Central hosts a unique array of events from intimate small business meetings to high-profile, large-scale conferences, sporting competitions, public exhibitions, political party conferences and large-scale international trade shows.

It seems (so far): no concerts

I wonder how the sound would be in there.

It used to be in the way back when before the Nynex Arena (as it was then) was built. I went to a couple of things there when I was younger but never a gig. Nirvana were scheduled to play there in 94. Some friends saw Blur and Iron Maiden there (not on the same bill) I don’t think they were thrilled with the sound if I recall but we’re talking 25+ years ago.

    👍 Thanks. That’s interesting.

    For comparison:

Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena’s floor “is the biggest standing arena floor in the UK at 9,000 to 10,000 capacity.” (www somewhere)

Found another one for London - looks very similar. Suede and Manic Street Preachers are there next week, 18 July.

    Capacity: 7000

Shame added as special guest to all open air dates plus Brixton Academy

Shame would be even fitting for the whole tour - with enough time on stage for them. But wait & see maybe more bands will show up here.

Gmex arena ? I remember watching an Oasis concert that was broadcast live on MTV from there in 1997.

Gmex is the old name for Manchester Central. When Manchester Arena (MEN, Phones4U etc) opened it was called Nynex as they were the corporate sponsor at the time. Nynex were a cable company who did a lot of work in Greater Manchester at that time. Sorry, I should have been clearer. Old man reminiscing 😂

    Encore Break
    17. Imagine-(Lennon, Ono)

Lead direct to a probability of anything like such a tour here: 14% (so far)

BTW Shame as special guest seems to be a rather bad idea - because the  outdoor venues and the Brixton Academy are not big enough for such a mixed ticket buyers‘ clash.
And „secret special guest“ could upset fans of Shame later. No need for that.
The delete edit for Shame is done. But they are on hold (for something) now.

Now it gets interesting here! - earlier than thought!

    >>> Quoted Insert from the London Show Cancellation thread transferred to the end of this post - just because the source information could be possibly topic relevant here. <<<

Everything maybe just a little bit different than imagined & collected in this thread so far.
Will be the next PJ appearance a stadium, arena or club affair in the UK?
    Possibility so far:
    Stadium: 33,33%
    Arena: 33,33%
    Club: 33,33%
Let’s bin the stadium crap (out at least on board here now;)
    =
    Arena: 50%
    Club: 50%
    which one is out next?

    No one.

    arena: 33,33%
    club: 33,33%
    arena-club-combi: 33,33%

Including the ‘best & coolest’ thing now.
SO (somehow:)) suddenly the chance to see PJ live & indoor in front of a crowd of < 3500 in the UK 202X / 2025!? looks like and jumped to 66,66% on board here.
But only the combination delivers what some paying fans ask for AND what makes some money at the same time AND would add some “back to the roots Live” excitement on stage and for the club gig crowd.
All in all lead to a more or less Fantasy number - based on simple math, logic, imagination and suspense:

    >>>> 100% <<<<

It’s possible to see a PJ club concert in the UK when they’ll return 202X!
    =
Why not? is the simple question from now on.

PJ in front of a <3500 crowd indoor in England and Scotland (plus in Wales at least at the Castle open air with larger crowd) seems or is realistic as long as someone announced the K.O. - and if K.O. then it came along with reason/s at best.

The unique return was written in existence in less than twelve hours during the running 2024 Europe Tour.
It can work fair enough - just because of the improved & adjusted ticket sales strategy - which is based on the 2024 PJTM strategy plus the lessons learned on different sides incl. the ticket buyers’ side:
scalping is dead enough & resales above face value are impossible IS a good thing BUT.
So the 202X UK-Tour ticket prices coming down / are available from “obvious overpriced” to “normal price”.
UNLESS the “PJ-ENTRY-crunch-time-price” will sell out the venue before the price hit “normal ENTRY-price”.
It seems possible that some club dates could sell out at “normal ENTRY” plus 50 - 1XX% and almost nobody can complain.
All tickets bought with money from which the individual buyer thought that’s worth the entry.
My second (+ ?) PJ live date will never happen - or it will be one/some UK club show/s and one or more of the listet rather small open air shows;)
Also doable in Europe at some places: Berlin and/or Hamburg for example.
    Still imagined low-tec on stage.
Well this sounds positive. Can’t imagine saying that if there was an embargo or restriction on coming back.
OMG! Now I`m full of hope!!!
