Can't transfer tickets without the barcodes and these will run through MLB, not Ticketmaster. If you understand it differently, explain.

I already posted about the barcode delivery delay, but here it is again plus info about transfer in Illinois:

New York, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia and Connecticut have passed state laws requiring unlimited ticket resale and limiting artists' ability to determine how their tickets are resold. To adhere to local law, tickets in these states will not be restricted from transfer but the artist encourages fans to use the Face Value Exchange.

Ticket barcodes will be delivered 72 hours prior to show time. You will be notified once tickets are available via the MLB Ballpark app. To view and use tickets, log in to your existing MLB.com account or create an account in the MLB Ballpark app with the email address used to purchase your ticket(s). The TM person isn't giving you an Illinois specific response.

As far as Stubhub goes, you can list your tickets with a "delivery delay", same as Ticketmaster. Transfer the barcode to the buyer once you receive them.

Just to be clear we won't be able to see our tickets in the MLB app until 72 hours before the show? Then we can transfer to whoever?

That is how I understand it. You will be able to transfer the tickets through the MLB app like you would for Cubs tickets. Also, the message on TM has been changed to say "tickets will not be delivered until the week of the event" instead of 72 hours.

I was able to see the ticket I bought through mlb immediately and was able to transfer it a couple months ago

I just bought mine on f2f and they don't show up in the MLB app yet.

Great, but that is not the case for tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.

Wrigley TM tickets will switch over to MLB tickets a week before the show and then they will be transferable. You do not need barcodes to be transferable.

The exception is that I was told by a manager at TM that the transfer button will never be enabled for that Chicago show, and instead, the week of the show, the tickets will be delivered to the MLB Ballpark app, and once in that app, at that point they can be transferred.

What are you transferring then? Irrelevant technicality either way.

Barcodes are changed once the transfer happens either way

Not sure why we are going in circles here.

MSG there are no barcodes yet. Yes you can wallet the tickets but that is something new this year vs 2022. 2 days before MSG we will get barcodes. In the meantime we can still transfer our tickets with no barcodes and they will just change in the background.

Wrigley is different since you will have to use the MLB app to get the barcodes. That does not mean tickets can not be transferred until then though. Once tickets are available in the MLB app they will be transferable similar to how the season ticket holder tickets that are already in the app are transferable right now.

Tickets will not be transferable until they are in the MLB app. That is supposed to be one week from the show. At that time we may get barcodes too but if not they will be available 48-72hrs before the show.

Exactly, Wrigley is different and I've already said all of this. But bully for you. 👍

you have tickets you're looking to unload?

Looking for a single GA for both nights - will happily take a pair off your hands if you'd like to transfer them to another loyal 10C member. :)
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
