Dark Matter - could see this getting as high as 7, which is pretty great.

    Riot Act

    Gigaton

    Different every time
..first 5 are always top 5, in differing orders....gig is always last.  Others are scrambled.

I agree. Gig is awful. At least Riot Act has one great song.

So it’s been a long year indulging in all this music. Gigaton reignited my passion for the guys just because it was something different. Fell in love on Ten, excited by Vs, and too many life issues during Vitalogy. Lost interest after Vitalogy because life’s that way sometimes so my list is probably far far different than most here

    vitalogy
    no code
    riot act
    Dark matter
gigaton (this and yield are interchangeable)
    yield
    binaural (still growing on me)
    lightning bolt
Vs (daughter and dissident brings this down for me)
ten (overplayed Jeremy drags this down)
backspacer (feels like it should be higher)
avocado (falls off for me after severed hand)
Lost dogs (because I haven’t felt compelled to really listen to it multiple time)

so there ya go. The worst ranking by the average middle aged guy finding new passion in the old stuff. Wishing I had kept this connection but also grateful to be able to enjoy it in reflection of my life now.  Looking for a pair to MSG N2

Dark Matter at first was last, but it is growing on me.  Binaural Last related to other music I listen to is till like a top 25-30 album for me, so I am not relegating it to shit by any means.  This list would change tomorrow

I don’t think it’s fair to compare Lost Dogs, a compilation, to regular albums so I’m excluding. Though I love it.

LB is the only album for me where I don’t dig a good chunk of it. Maybe 6 of 12 songs I like. Backspacer and Gigaton there’s 2-3 meh songs on each. The other 9, there’s maybe 2-3 songs total from them all combined that I don’t really dig.

The 5 from the 90s are untouchable imo, by almost any artist

I see this type of comment a lot but DM is a continuation of the sound. Wreckage sits nicely next to Seven O'clock, etc.

Yup and I like both those songs.  It's always interesting seeing people's different opinions of albums and songs.  Hell - I see people posting their dream setlists and to me it seems like a snoozefest...PJ has a bit of everything for everyone.

Vs / Ten  (studio Vs > Ten ; modern live performances Ten > Vs)
Vitalogy (just needs thinning out a bit)
    Yield (see Vitalogy comment)

    Avocado

    Lightning Bolt

Gigaton (no matter how hard I try, i just can't embrace this one)

...and yes, I was one of those fans that followed through the nineties (slight "dip' at No Code but back up at Yield), only listened casually during the 2000's (which I regret since I missed so many opportunities to easily see them live), and latched on quite hard for good in 2011.

I am one of those who really likes DM and the opposite on Gig.
My least favorite songs on DM are both Gig types
    Wreckage, something Special.

Pearl Jam has something for everyone, as was just posted.  I know many love Gig and love those two songs.

I get it...I was focusing more on the "Gig is awful" comment. The "At least Riot Act has one great song" is an equally bad take (my opinion).

Now I'm curious what the "good song" is on Riot Act. Probably I am Mine which is my least favorite.

but yeah...we're all different and I like that some people love Sirens, Just Breathe, The End, Future Days, etc. when I would rather jump off a building (tall one) then ever hear those again.
