Piecing together the rumors, I'd say any planning probably follows a closer path to the start of the 2016 tour than anything else.... probably sticking a little more inland than the coast, given the Boston - NYC - Philly - Baltimore region received their shows....

I'd suspect the trek is probably starting in Florida, veering over in to NOLA / Atlanta / Tennessee / possibly a show or two in Ohio & Western PA before hitting Buffalo, and concluding with the utter destruction of Scotiabank (and the leafs playoff chances) in Toronto...  I'd love for Montreal to be in the mix, but the history says no... that being said, I will divert to the greatest place on earth if it happens.  I haven't been to mecca since 2017 now... too long.

This it based on no information what so ever, other than the little snippets and nuggets collected in this thread by the posters i generally have perceived to be accurate over the years...

should be a good time.  Hopefully FL syncs up with the family's spring break plans, maybe I'll actually endure the inlaws for the full week instead of my abbreviated 48 hours with them before sneaking off to disneyworld with the kids.

I have to think they will hit Detroit before Florida.  Last time they were in Detroit was 2014.  Florida was 2016.  Given the rumors though maybe both.
Based on population density, I strongly disagree with your statement.

the population of florida is 22.6 million people.
the population of michigan is 10 million people.

the population of miami, tampa, and orlando is 455k, 403k, and 320k, respectively.  that's > 1.1million

    Detroit - 633k

My logic says Florida, not michigan...

and I hate florida.  it is truly america's wang, geologically, spiritually, and philosophically.
What’s with the hate for Florida?
Florida has produced one of the greatest bands ever in Hot Water Music.
Man I saw them a ton of times in the late 90's early 00's.  Such an awesome band.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Keeping with the Florida talk, if they do indeed play here again (South Florida specifically), Ft. Lauderdale/Sunrise is a much better choice than Miami.

Better arena, in a much better area, and best of all….free parking at the mall across the street 😬

Only problem is if it’s in April, the building won’t be as available as it used to be now that our hockey team is pretty much a lock to be in the playoffs.
Perfect excuse to play Rats if they do play here!

And they are still putting out great albums and are amazing live!  Would have loved to have made it to The Fest to see them but a little far away from Michigan.

    I dunno...

    maybe it's the governor...

maybe it's the way it votes...

maybe it's the fact that it gets hit with a hurricane every 10-12 months and expects the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to pay to rebuild the place even though they don't want to be taxed or support the rest of the country...

maybe it's got something to do with persecuting the LBGTQ+ and immigrant community...

Maybe I just don't like the fucking beach....

but don't worry, I feel the same way about texas... and i'm stuck here...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

    amen brotha...
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • Back on track.

Florida would have to be before Jazz Fest if they do Jazz Fest and the Atlanta dates are legit. Hypothetically if they play one show in Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville each, do we really think they’ll take 2 days off between? I think two shows in Miami is more likely than them playing three cities in the state.
    2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x2

I don't think they'll hit all of those cities in the same way they did it in 2016.

If 2023 is anything to go off of, they did Dallas and Austin in the same year... I can see Miami MAYBE getting some love even though they voted very red this year... 2 shows in Miami, sure, but i still think they play at least ONE in Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville.

Keep this in mind when guessing cities and managing expectations.  The likelihood of this tour being more than 8 cities and 12 shows is probably pretty low.

    Leg 1 2024 west coat
    11 shows, 7 cities

    Leg 2 Europe
10 shows, 7 cities (incl London and Berlin x2)

    Leg 3 USA
11 shows, 7 cities (excludes Ohana as that was two weeks after Boston)
    2003 - June 15 Fargo
    2005 - Sept 1 George, Sept 8 Winnipeg
2006 - May 9/10 Toronto, June 26/27 St. Paul, July 22/23 George, Oct 21/22 Mountain View
    2007 - Aug 2/5 Chicago
    2008 - June 22 Washington, June 24/25 New York
    2009 - Aug 21 Toronto, Aug 23/24 Chicago, Sept 21/22 Seattle, Oct 27/28/30/31 Philadelphia
    2010 - May 15 Hartford, May 17 Boston, Oct 23/24 Mountain View
2011 - Sept 3/4 Alpine Valley, Sept 11/12 Toronto, Sept 17 Winnipeg, Sept 19 Saskatoon
    2012 - Sept 30 Missoula
2013 - July 16 London, July 19 Chicago, Oct 12 Buffalo, Dec 2 Calgary, Dec 4 Vancouver, Dec 6 Seattle
    2014 - Oct 16 Detroit, Oct 19 St. Paul, Oct 20 Milwaukee
    2015 - Sept 23 (Colbert)/Sept 26, New York

I don't think 2024 will be the model they tour off of tho.

I think it will be a combination of 2022 and 2023.. 2022 if they do Euro dates, 2023 if they don't.

the 2023 tour was literally 4 cities that got 5 shows, and it would have been 5. I think if they tour in the Spring, we're more likely to see 5 or 6 cities with at least 2 of those shows being rumored for festivals. (North Carolina(?), New Orleans) The other shows would probably get 2 shows a night. 10 dates total.

I agree but it may be the only leg we get.  Of course to make your argument there was only one in 2023 haha.

I think this may be a bit bigger though.  2 Atlanta are already rumored, 2 Toronto I assume and the Charlotte festival.  If they’re in Canada I assume a couple of more eastern ca cities and a couple in Miami/florida.  I think that is 9 right there but it’s spread out and would make sense to connect the dots with jazz fest and a couple of other shows on the way up to Canada.  I think we could get 12-14 and maybe a couple of more even.  But do I rule out a 2023 tour, nope haha.

As far as Atlanta goes, I hope it's not Lakewood.  Gwinnett Arena or Alpharetta Amphitheatre would be my preference.  Will likely be State Farm though.

Probably doesn’t make a huge difference but I feel the band is a little more excited about DM than they were Gigaton, so they might want to spread the love a bit more with 2025.  Again I’ll take anything, just thinking it’s more than 2023.
