Gorge in September between DMB and NYCH (Chrome Hearts) seems ideal.
They did just announce Mumford and Sons and said “More to come”

Rob B on PJ radio just now talked about the tour, then said "let's see where they go from there" & "let's get through this tour first."

    Say more.

In another 5 years I'm not sure I'll want to fly to see them with all the expenses, especially if there's a significant decline in Ed's voice and ticket prices would just continue to be even higher.  I'm sure the band would still sound good but if/when it becomes a GNR situation I'm out with no regrets. I also don't live anywhere near where the band ever plays.
You truly can not compare PJ to that cash grab grift they have going. But I get what you’re saying.
I saw one of the GNR shows in 2023 and while obviously Axl’s voice isn’t so great any more, they played a full energy 3 hour show, everything I could possibly have wanted to hear, and the music excluding the vocals was super well played.  To each their own but I enjoyed the experience greatly.
I won’t say GNR, even tho that’s what it was booked as, but I say I just saw Axl back in like 2004 maybe? And he sounded great still. I’ll die on the hill that I’m glad I saw that over what they’re doing now…I’ll lose that battle every time. I know. I just see the videos of his voice recently and it kills it for me. I can’t do it. People love it tho, so whatever works!
I love seeing the chili peppers even tho I know Anthony is vocally maybe one of the worst frontmen, I get it.

I've seen GNR three time.  Two shows were with the replacements, and the third was a reunion show in Seattle in 2016.

My favourite was the first show with the replacement.   I think it was 2006.   Axl still sounded pretty good and the show was a lot of fun.  I do find it odd my favourite GNR show was with a replacement lineup, but it was pretty damn good.   The show I saw in Seattle in 2016 was ok, but I didn't think he sounded as good, and the show seemed the opposite of spontaneous.   It felt like they negotiated down to the T, how many minutes they interact with each other on stage, and which parts and with who... It was a solid show and I'm glad I went, but I haven't gone to another one, so I guess that says something :)

GNR w Soundgarden was my first show in 1992 for $20 at the Pyramid in Memphis.

    That show did not suck.

    Memphis '94 / Charlotte '96 / Birmingham '98 / Knoxville '98 / Memphis '00 / Nashville '00 / Nashville '03 / St. Louis '04 / Nashville Ryman N1 '09 (EV solo) / Nashville Ryman N2 '09 (EV solo) / Memphis '09 (EV solo) / New Orleans Jazzfest '10 / St Louis '10 / Memphis '12 (EV solo) / Memphis '14 / Boston Fenway N1 '16 / Boston Fenway N2 '16 / Chicago Wrigley N1 '18 / Chicago Wrigley N2 '18 /  Ottawa '22 / Quebec City '22 / Nashville '22 / St Louis '22

G n' F'n R and S n' F'n G was my first rock show in December 1991 at Madison Square Garden. It also did not suck. Soundgarden remains one of the loudest things I've ever heard. G N' R went on at about 11:30 p.m. on a school night. I took a shower when I got home because I was so sweaty, and when I turned the water off, it sounded like the water was still running. That was my first experience with the sound of hearing damage.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

On the doorstep of the April/May tour and it had been silent. But something HAS to be coming up. Right? Something stateside late summer and South America a little later on?

My instinct is that there’s no more shows or just a few in South America. The merch for these Spring shows is all labelled as “Dark Matter 2025 Tour”. If more shows I would have guessed it would be labelled Spring Tour or US Tour.

My instinct is they are taking a full year off after May and will be back next for Europe in June/July next year.

I think they are waiting till mid tour (this leg), to announce something. There are still tickets available in all cities but FLA And Pittsburg. Would be prudent to wait till the end of this leg to announce a late summer/fall leg
  • Hopefully waiting for Ohana and ACL to announce 🤞
